Dynafit Gaia TF-X Ski Boot - Women's
January 31, 2012
Probably way late to be useful, but if anyone else is reading this: Dynafit womens boots tend to be more narrow. The Scarpa Shaka is a more wide boot, the Gea is average. Most Garmonts tend to be narrow. Its hard to know if a wide calf also means a wider foot, but she would for sure get more space overall in one of the Scarpa boots. Also, the Gea has a very soft flex and might be more comfortable around the calf area for someone needing more space there.

Dynafit Gaia TF-X Ski Boot - Women's

The boot is cutting off blood circulation somewhere. This might be something that is easily adjustable or it might not be. It could be as simple as unbuckling part of the boot when you are on the lift, until it breaks in, or it could be a bigger issue. You should note that the last on this boot is around 98, so its on the narrow side if you have a wider foot. The best bet is to go to a boot fitter and have them look at how it fits you.

The North Face Nuptse 2 Down Jacket - Women's
January 31, 2012
Unless he is built like a woman...which I highly doubt at his age...the shoulders are not going to be wide enough and the arms not long enough. It will fit him wrong. Also, if anyone is going to notice a guy wearing a woman's coat, it will be high school kids. They look for that kind of stuff to make fun of, and even if they don't, most guys that age would not want to wear a women's clothing and take that chance. Why not just get him a mens coat?

The North Face Resolve Jacket - Women's
September 25, 2009
Probably medium. I am 5'6" with really long arms and weigh 120 and I always go small in north face...and it's always really roomy. So I would guess you could go for the smaller size if you are in between.
