Line Afterbang Ski
November 29, 2009
Is the Afterbang significantly softer than the Chronic in flex? Also, is there a mounting point for more all-mountain riding? Or is center-mounting the only recommended point?

Armada JJ Ski

Easily 185. Rocker + twin tip means it will ski quite a bit shorter than nominal length.

Line Prophet 90 Alpine Ski
March 16, 2009
I'm a 5'10" 195 ski instructor and I ski the 172s which I love, but if I did it over again I would get the 179s or the 186s. But at your weight I think the 172s would be fine. I am similar to you in that I took a long layoff from skiing (but learned when I was three) to snowboard exclusively. Just got back into two-planking last season. I like how the Prophets feel very snowboardy (if that makes any sense).
