Sharp

Rating for this product: 4 February 2, 2005

The serrated part of this blade is super sharp. It is a little small in my hand I almost wish it was half an inch bigger. It is light and skinny enough to not notice it in a pocket. The opening action is easy and fast but the knob on the blade is hard on the thumb at first. Overall it is a very well built knife.

Snow Peak Titanium Cookware - 3pcs

I actually have not cooked anything in this but I have used it to eat out of. The giga power stove inside stove container fits nicely inside along with the wind screen for the stove.

Snow Peak Mini Solo Combo Titanium Cookset

Snow Peak Mini Solo Combo Titanium Cookset

Rating for this product: 4 December 15, 2004

I bought the titanium stove and cookset together for a discount. The cookset can house a fuel canister and the stove but there is a catch. You have to take the stove out of its plastic case for it to fit. The nylon sack is over sized in case you want to carry it uncollapsed ie using the cup as a lid. You can actually fit 2 canisters and the stove in there when carrying it this way.

Black Diamond Ion Headlamp

Black Diamond Ion Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 November 17, 2004

I am the owner of 4 headlights now. I got them in this order cheapo Wal-Mart, Black Diamond Moonlight, Black Diamond Gemini, and now this little gem. The Wal-Mart light broke. The moonlight is not too heavy but the light output is less than the ion after a year's worth of use on the batteries. The Gemini is just too bulky for trail use but great for around the house type of work. I like the ion most because you can take it anywhere. I had it in the pocket of my jeans and went out grocery shopping and completely forgot I even had it in my pocket. It is so tiny and weighs nothing. This will replace my moonlight as my favorite headlamp. PS my girlfriend wears this on the top of her head to keep her hair out of her face, I am going to have to get one for her now too.

Big Agnes Insulated Air Core REM Sleeping Pad

Big Agnes Insulated Air Core REM Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 November 3, 2004

I have 2 Big Agnes sleeping bags. I recently had them zipped together so I could sleep with a companion. I have two different sleeping pads also. A Thermarest and the Big Agnes insulated air core. My companion and I fought over who got to sleep on the air core pad all night. It is far more comfortable than any self inflating pad I have ever used or seen.
