Careful on color and size

Thanks to the other reviewers on the size info. I am 5'10", 150 lbs and I usually wear a medium. On the advice of the reviewers, I ordered a large and it fits just like it does on the model on the Oakley website http://www.oakley.com/catalog/products/prs-hoody (loose but not too baggy). I think the sleeves would be too short on the medium. I like the way it zips all the way up to cover your neck. Material seems durable and warm. I haven't tested it's water resistance in the rain yet. My only issue is the color. I got the Blue Tar version, and it is much more Blue-Green than it looks in the picture. It wasn't what I was expecting when I opened the package, but it still looks cool enough to keep. Especially for $30 on SAC.

Is It The Shoes?!? YES

La Sportiva Cobra Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Rubber

La Sportiva Cobra Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Rubber

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2009

Remember the commentator from the game NBA JAM... Yes It's the Shoes. I love these shoes. The edging is great and the feel is awesome. I wear about a 9.5 in street shoes and I got them in a 40 (7.5). After about 10 (fairly painful) days, they break in and fit perfectly. The description above is only slightly exaggerating the edging ability (maybe not quite a sidewalk haha), but you'll be amazed by the little pits that you'll be able to stand on. Makes learning and developing technique easy if you're a beginner. Plus you'll get plenty of compliments on your shoes.

Swix Edger 2x2

March 1, 2009

I have the Swix edger 2x2. Once my base and edge bevels are set, what should I use to keep the edge sharp? I saw that Swix offers the "carving kit 1" that includes square inserts that look like diamond stones with the edger 2x2. I assume they fit into the edger 2x2. However, I can't seem to find them sold separately. I've been using the less abrasive side of the Swix dual-sided pocket stone to fine-tune/sharpen my edges before waxing, but it's difficult to control the angle. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
