Line Prophet 90 Alpine Ski

March 2, 2009

This ski is definitely a true twin. That means it gives up some of it's effective edge. Consider that when you're sizing this ski. FWIW, my current skis are 182 and I wouldn't think of sizing down to the 179 Prophet. If the 186 shows back up on BC, you can bet I am placing an order.

Fits Med - Lg, not XL face

Oakley Wisdom Goggle

Oakley Wisdom Goggle

Rating for this product: 3 February 27, 2009

I wear a 7 5/8 baseball hat, and these goggles were too narrow for my face. The padding touched the corners of my eyes, and eliminated all peripheral vision. Nice goggle, just not a good fit.

Head Skis USA S11 Heat Fit Ski Boot - Men's

Head Skis USA S11 Heat Fit Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 20, 2009

I picked up a pair of these boots before the season, and they have performed great. I have wide paws (EE) and the 103mm last means my feet don't feel like they've been in a waffle iron all day. They're good and stiff too, so when you push, they push back. Great boot.

Giro 2008 G10 MX Helmet

Giro 2008 G10 MX Helmet

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2009

I had tried on an XL Giro from 07/08 at my LSS that fit great, and I was worried about the revised sizing chart for this season. That being said, I have plenty of room in a large. I wear a 7-5/8 baseball hat which translates to 23.75 inches.
The link has a chart for hat sizes that converts to inches and cm. http://www.strictlyfitteds.com/blog/?page_id=4874
