The North Face Classic Denali Fleece Jacket - Women's

February 25, 2010

I'm 5'5" and 125 pounds, and I got a small. I think you'll definitely be fine with a small. If you want it to be tighter, go with an XS.

Cute hat

SmartWool Crochet Hat

SmartWool Crochet Hat

Rating for this product: 4 February 3, 2010

I have this in petrol blue - beautiful color. The hat definitely keeps me warm in chilly central NY. However, it's a tight fit, and I'd say I have a small head. I'm hoping it'll stretch out a bit.

Beautiful sweater!

SmartWool Roundabout V-Neck Sweater - Women's

SmartWool Roundabout V-Neck Sweater - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 3, 2010

I got this in deep purple and it's gorgeous. I'm 5'5" and 125 pounds and the medium fits well - not quite fitted, but not baggy. I probably could have gotten a small, but I would have been nervous washing it. The sweater is perfect for work, and it keeps me plenty warm in the chilly office and under my winter coat.

Great layering piece

SmartWool NTS Lightweight Top - Women's

SmartWool NTS Lightweight Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 3, 2010

Got this in magenta on SAC. The solid colors are more versatile than the color I got, which definitely looks like an athletic piece. I've already worn mine as a baselayer for winter activities (breathes great and kept me warm), and it's very comfortable for just lounging around the house. Highly recommended!

Marmot Intervale Component Jacket - Women's

January 26, 2010

I'm 5'5" and the small hits me right at the hips. It's not short, but it's certainly not oversized either.

Very happy

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2009

Gave this as a Christmas present. It's cold and snowy here, but he's worn it as an outer shell for snowshoeing and he's very happy with it. Tempest is a gorgeous color, sort of a smokey blue.

Can't go wrong with SmartWool!

SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Sock - Women's

SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Sock - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2009

I love these socks! They're perfect for running or the gym, and they work just as well when I wear them to my business casual office. Glacier is pretty, although it's a little brighter teal than the picture looks.

Perfect fit

The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant - Women's

The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2009

I got a great deal on these at my local box sporting goods store. I went there just to try some on, planning to buy online, but I found a pair discounted to 40% of the MSRP. They are the Snow White color and the hems were a little dirty, so they had been marked down because it looked like they had been worn and returned. I'm about 5'4" and 125lbs (normally a size 4 or 6 in pants), and the small fits me perfectly. The waist fits well without being tight, and the length is perfect. I haven't worn them out yet, but my roommate owns these in black and loves them. The only feature I'd like is gaiters that tighten, but it's hard to complain at the price I found!

Great boots

The North Face Bella Alta Boot - Women's

The North Face Bella Alta Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 23, 2008

I wanted stylish winter boots that would keep me warm without feeling clunky, and these are perfect! They're tall enough to keep snow out while I brush off my car in the mornings, but not so tall or heavy it feels like I'm wearing bricks. The brown looks great with jeans, and the zipper makes getting them on and off very easy.

As for sizing, I wear a 7.5 in dress shoes and an 8 in anything that requires socks, and the 8 fits perfectly. I'd be wary of ordering a half size up, but if you're between two sizes like I am, the larger size should fit.

SmartWool rocks

SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Sock - Women's

SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Sock - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 23, 2008

These socks are great for running or the gym, and I even wind up wearing them just around the house. The PhD compression bands make the sock fit tighter than other SmartWool socks, which just means the sock is extra supportive. My feet feel great after wearing SmartWool! The celadon/silver is very pretty.
