The difference is in the aluminum. The orange uses T6 aluminum which is the strongest aluminum and the yellow uses standard tempered aluminum.
From Voile's site:
T6 is the level of hardness reached in the aluminum heat-treating process for the Voile T6 model avalanche shovel scoop. Avalanche professionals, guides, patrollers, and rescue teams require this level durablity in their avalanche rescue shovel. All Voile T6 avalanche shovel scoops have deadman holes in the scoop to be used for snow anchors or for making a rescue sled.

seems like you would be ok using it over a small fire if you took off the neoprene sleeve but they are thin and I wouldn't recommend it. temps would be uneven and hard to control since they are so thin. I personally have used it on very small fires specific for cooking and it worked ok. Definitely worked better on the stove :)

still not sure when BC will get them but I looked into it and the changes to the flash are pretty good ones.
*new neoprene sleeve tells you when its hot. depending on the color you will have an idea of the temperature
*lids are transparent so you can see what's inside
*tripod base now comes standard
*the control knob has been extended so you don't have to reach under the cup
*the burner is all new shape which according to the rep, burns more efficient and heats more evenly.
*The new shape also protects the ignitor much better
*ignitor is also much smaller - no more breaking it

It's a good size. I also have the Dakine Terminal 2100 cause I thought I wanted a bigger pack but then realized it was too big. I could fit a ton of stuff in the 2100 Cu In but never needed that much. So I bought this one as well. I like it a lot better as far as size goes. Much more practical. I put my 15" laptop in it, and that leaves me with 4-6 inches of depth to put books and stuff in.

Prolite Plus is killer. I have used it a bunch on top of snow and in 0 degree temps. I am pretty sure the Neo will not be a good option in snowy cold temps based on the R-Value (I think is 2.5).
Using it in conjunction with a z-lite is an option as stated previously but why add the extra bulk-unless space is not an issue. I have both and use the prolite in the winter/snow and Neo the rest of the year

copper vs. emerald mt? I see there is a similar question already on here but I am curious why the merald mtn. is listed under big agnes' superlight category and the copper is in the ultralight? The copper 3 is about a full pound lighter. Maybe I don't know the diff between ultralight and superlight. some reviewers are saying lighter materials but both are made from silicone treated nylon ripstop w/1200mm waterproof poly coating and both use the same DAC TH72M poles. I do like the taller sides of the copper not sure that's enough to sway me to spend another $100.

My brother uses these for the same thing. He has the 25" and is 5'10" about 180. With all his board gear the 25" do great. He packs them down on a Dakine Poacher pack. The televator heel lifter on the Lightning Ascents works very well for this. These are lighter than the Evo's especially since you may want to add the tails to the Evos.

I don't think a ski boot would be very comfortable. Although the bindings will work which is your question I am with the other reviewers-look at an AT set up. Hit the chat button and the BC gear heads can direct you to what you need.

I got these wet and although I do not know what long term exposure to water will do-if anything-but they did dry quickly and did not stretch like I was worried about. They are very slippery inside when they are wet, much like a foam-type flip flop

I created this question originally. I decided to buy the shirt even though it was a bit long when I tried it on. I hoped it would shrink when I washed it. It did shrink but not that much. Maybe 1/4 inch all around.

I am 5'7" and the pack fit me pretty good. There are not a lot of adjustments on this pack so someone 5'5" or less I think may find this pack a bit large. I am on the border. I would look at the Osprey Switch Series or the Black Diamond snow packs for a better fit. The Poacher is also the same as this one but should fit a bit smaller.

I use the snowboard carry straps to attach my MSR Lighning Ascents (25"). The straps hold them snug and they don't flop around. The ski straps are flexible enough you should be able to carry both.

It totally can carry a snowboard. The pack has straps that can be stowed when not in use.
I also have used them to attach snowshoes. The system works great.

I am 5'8" 190 and I went with the large. It is long in the sleeves but fits well around the chest and is loose around the stomache. A medium fits me as well but is a bit too tight in the chest and arms. This is more relaxed fit than most of their other pieces. On their website it is listed as relaxed fit where as most the other fleece are listed as athletic. I would have a hard time seeing the length of the arms of a L fit you at 6'3". I would think an XL would be a better fit.

I ordered this shirt in a medium. I am about 5'8" and it seems pretty long. I have not washed it yet but wondering if it will shrink. I don't want to wash it if I am going to return it. anyone have any experience with organic cotton shirts from TNF?

It does not have a thick liner. 60-70s I think is pretty warm for any kind of top layer but if you are looking for a thin layer in those temps this is a great choice. Does a good job protecting against wind as well. Have not had it in the rain much but for the little rain I have been in it has done well. In a downpour or constant rain I would look at something different like a thin softshell-see arc'teryx gamma mx hooded or the Backcountry shift welder
