Best thing I've found while hiking

Klean Kanteen Water Bottle - 40oz

Klean Kanteen Water Bottle - 40oz

Rating for this product: 5 February 1, 2010

I recently found one of these in the parking lot after hiking. It has a few dents in it, but functions just fine. This thing rocks. The rolled lip edge is very comfortable on the mouth and the screw top seals tight. The stainless steel vessel stays ice cold for hours. However, I do see it getting quite warm if in direct sunlight.

These things rock

Eagle Creek Pack-It 2-Sided Cube

Eagle Creek Pack-It 2-Sided Cube

Rating for this product: 5 January 17, 2010

I absolutely love the 2-sided cube. The "clean" side has a mesh face while the "dirty" side has a polymer linin on both the face and divider panel. The divider panel has enough "play" in it so if you only have clean clothes you can use the entire volume rather than leave the dirty side empty. The half-cubes are perfect for backpacking while the full-sized cubes are perfect for luggage. Watch out though as you can easily pack more into these packs than you realize so your luggage can quickly weigh more than the allowance.

Best pack I've used

Osprey Packs Talon 33 Backpack - 1900-2000cu in

Osprey Packs Talon 33 Backpack - 1900-2000cu in

Rating for this product: 5 January 15, 2010

I picked up this pack on a whim before going to NY without trying it on first. From the moment I received it I have been amazed. While it may not look like there is much cushioning in the shoulder straps and hip belt it is leaps and bounds more comfortable than my TNF Terra 60. The hip belt pockets are a little small, and I'd prefer if they extended deeper towards the pack. I was a little confused about the hydration sleeve before ordering, but let me help clear that up. There is a sleeve INSIDE the pack but outside the main compartment. Your bladder does not hang outside the pack between the back panel. Mine currently holds my Camelback Unbottle 100 oz without any troubles. Quality is top notch and after about 2 dozen uses it doesn't show any signs of wear. If you are using the side compression straps the bottle holders on the sides are difficult to use without strap adjustment.

Wife loves these

Backcountry.com Prime Power Stretch Pant - Women's

Backcountry.com Prime Power Stretch Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2010

My wife loves these so much she wants to get more. They have become her favorite around the house and workout pants. As others have said, the waist band is a little strange, but not enough for her to dislike them. While the flair bottoms are nice for fashion they don't do so well layering.

These rock!

Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack

Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack

Rating for this product: 5 April 8, 2009

I've got the 10L and 25L sizes for stuffing nasty camping clothes into. The 10L is perfect for 2-3 days worth of clothes. You can't tell from the picture, but the material is slightly see-through if you have multiple sacks in your bag.

Great base layer for snowboarding

Under Armour Base 1.0 Legging - Men's

Under Armour Base 1.0 Legging - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 8, 2009

I took these to a recent snowboard trip to Colorado. The temperatures were in the 30-40s. My legs were plenty warm (and sweatfree) when worn under snowboard pants. I'm 5'7", 160 lbs and a medium was a nice, snug fit. If the temperatures were a little colder I think I would have needed something a little thicker.

The best

Under Armour Boxer Jock - Men's

Under Armour Boxer Jock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 8, 2009

These are definitely worth the price. No bunching, highly breathable, and wicks sweat extremely well. I'm slowly converting all my underwear to these.
