Awesome cutting tool

G3 Alpinist Climbing Skin

G3 Alpinist Climbing Skin

Rating for this product: 4 December 10, 2011

Haven't toured with these yet, damn snow hasn't come but just got them in and finished cutting them. They seem great so far but we'll see how they tour.

A++ for the cutting tool. No hassle and it gives you the automatic offset that you have to fidget all around with the traditional "envelope opener" that comes with BD skins.

Bombproof!!1

Stoic Bombshell Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 23, 2010

This Stoic jacket is so awesome and bombproof. I'm glad backcountry.com decided to make their own product. This jacket is unreal, its kept me warm with just a long sleeve midweight baselayer in 10F and allowed me to breath with just a short sleeve baselayer in the 40s in the spring. Only con for this jacket is its a little tight. If you're not a rail and have large shoulders I would say size up. I'm 5'9" 190 and the large just barely fit, so I went with an XL so I could layer if I had to.

Bombshell jacket that I was able to pick up at SAC for half the price. Awesome deal and awesome jacket.

Awesome Tent

Marmot Crib Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Marmot Crib Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 November 23, 2010

I actually have the 3-person but it's basically the same thing. This tent is awesome. For the size to weight ratio it is great. Light enough for short backpacks and large enough for car camping. This thing fits my girlfriend, myself, and our dog with tons of room to spare. Solid contruction and the extra light he window lets in is great for the wetter weather. If its warm and dry enough the tent without the fly is awesome.

Pick it up, great price for a great tent!

Best Gloves I've ever owned!

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro 3-Finger Glove

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro 3-Finger Glove

Rating for this product: 5 January 24, 2010

These Seth Morrison Lobsters are the best pair of gloves/mittens I've ever owned. Not only are they pretty low profile which is great but they give me more tactile feel then I've ever had in a glove and are crazy warm. Had them out early in the month in Vermont in -18F weather at the peak of Sugarbush and with no extra lining my hands were sweating! Unreal. After years of buying mid-priced gloves and not loving them, I spent a lot of time not wanting to spend the money on these. I finally pulled the trigger and have been stoked to have them ever since.

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

March 3, 2009

Why don't you try the Grizzly's. They seem a little more suited to your riding style with a smaller turn radius and at 89mm underfoot its certainly bigger that what you're skiing now but will no doubt float better and still be a great all mountain carver

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

February 9, 2009

I'm 5'9" and about 185 lbs. I've been eyeing up the 177cm Mantras for a good all around ski? Would you recommend this or another ski. I'm an advanced to expert skier and spend most of my days on the east coast but usually in the trees and steeps. I'm on a pair of 174 PE from 06/07 and love how the ride but they've taken a serious beating. I'm also looking for something just a little wider then PE's to keep me up in the pow. Any recommendations?

Giro 2008 G10 MX Helmet

Giro 2008 G10 MX Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 November 13, 2008

I've owned a G10 for a few years and have taken some pretty big crashed with it on. I suffered a mild concussion once, but am pretty sure I saved myself from some serious damage because of my G10. Last year I lost it while packing my car and decided to get the G10mx as a replacement. Couldn't be happier and now my goggles don't have scratches from all of the trees.
