great deal

Backcountry.com Titanium Cookset - 1650ml

Got this on SAC and it was a great deal. Not much else to say-- it lacks graduation markings, not a big deal, but would have been nice. Much more durable than my AL set and fits nicely in the included pouch. Handle stays cool. Kind of wish it had a regular lid, but maybe I will use the frying pan. In any case that is not the product's fault.

I use mine with a homemade Caldera Clone, which fits inside the pot sideways with an 8oz water bottle of fuel inside the cone-- awesome setup. Since this pot is so short and wide, it is one of the few that can take a cone inside rolled up. If you see this on SAC, snatch it up. Not sure if it is any better than other options at full price.

Mountainsmith Cross Country 3.0 Backpack - 4302cu in

September 5, 2009

The detachable daypack is a small backpack similar to a basic camelback with room for a bladder and a few things.
