My wife and I both have this pack and love it. Best suited light overnight trips. Materials and construction are great for such a light pack. Don't plan on using the shovel pocket when the pack is full.

Jetboil Classic Personal Cooking System

I wouldn't use anything else. Others have tried to copy this design but fall short of the simplicity and ease of use. The cozy-handled container works well for all meals and hot drinks. Its worked great for me in high wind and at high altitude (above 12,000 ft.)

CamelBak Thermal Control Kit

CamelBak Thermal Control Kit

Rating for this product: 1 March 25, 2009

This is a waste of money and time. I saw no benefit with installing this. Water froze in the tube and in the bite valve in mild temps even when blowing the water out after drinking. You also loose the on/off valve with this product.

Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses

Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 3 March 25, 2009

A smaller/narrower face is a must for a good fit. Frames proved to be bulletproof. Lenses are a little soft and can ship and scratch easily. I have the mutli-lense set and use them for many different sports. Side protection is just OK. Love the UVA/B/C protection from Oakley.

Dissapointed

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 March 25, 2009

Even at the low price point, I was very disappointed in my jacket. Maybe mine is a defect. The cut of this jacket is all wrong. There is way too much material in the arms (girth and length). No cinch cord in the collar. Material is water resistant, but there is no warmth. Recommend the Summit Series if you're going with North Face.

Not ready for prime time

Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS Watch

Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS Watch

I was really impressed with the satellite reception, even indoors. The bezel and firmware is still really buggy and is frustrating to navigate. There is very little documentation with this package and surprisingly no support from Garmin online. Very disappointed in Garmin on this one.
