Arc'teryx Gamma LT Softshell Pant - Men's

Arc'teryx Gamma LT Softshell Pant - Men's

I upgraded to these from the MH talus pack pants...and must say I'm very impressed. The fit is superb and they are most comfortable. They are lightweight and very water resistant...I think they'd hold up in anything but a downpour. With a pair of thermals underneath, they're perfect for winter hiking/snowshoeing.

top notch socks

SmartWool PhD Outdoor Light Crew Sock

SmartWool PhD Outdoor Light Crew Sock

Rating for this product: 5 January 10, 2010

My favorite socks for summer, fall, and spring (for winter excursions I prefer the heavier aka warmer Smartwool Trekking or Mountaineering socks). Out of all the socks I own they are holding up the best...I've had them for over a year and they still look brand new. They wick well, have great cushion, never bunch up, and are hella comfy. Pick up a pair today!

Fantastic

Backcountry.com Siphon Street Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Backcountry.com Siphon Street Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 10, 2010

I wear this for weeks straight...easily the best hoodie I've ever worn. It's very warm for how thin/lightweight it is (keeps me warm down to 30F), and looks very stylish as well. I really like how the thumbholes are built inside the sleeve, so when you're not using them the holes dont show. I'm 6'6" 210lbs and the XL fits me very well.

That said, I'm not sure I'd pay full price for this. I picked it up for $33 and consider that a steal. I wouldnt hesitate to pay up to $50 for this hoody.

Great Price

Backcountry.com Merino Hiking Sock - 3-Pack

Backcountry.com Merino Hiking Sock - 3-Pack

Rating for this product: 4 January 10, 2010

Havent done any serious hiking in these yet, but for kicking back and cruising around town they've been awesome. The only negative I've experienced so far is that the upper part (ankle and above) of the sock tends to slide down and bunch up...however it never bunches up on my foot so I dont consider this a big deal.
I recommend these socks...especially if you're like me and have moved to a cotton sock-free lifestyle.

Picked up a pair 'bout a year ago and loved them. I wont hike/backpack/bike in anything else. Not only are they the ultimate in comfort, but they also keep you dry and eliminate chaffing/butt cheese.

I now own 5 pairs and hope to one day replace my entire underwear collection with them. Pick up a pair...you wont regret it.

Mountain Hardwear Talus Pack Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2008

Fernando loves these pants. They are comfortable, durable, lightweight, breathable, water-resistant and slightly stretchy...everything Fernando needs on his many travels (whether it's hiking in the desert, climbing a peak, or trekking thru snow). When Fernando goes on journey, he never takes these off...he even sleeps in them, they are that comfy.

Seirus Xtreme All Weather Glove

Seirus Xtreme All Weather Glove

Rating for this product: 2 December 20, 2008

Putting these gloves on, Fernando's fingers get even colder than they were before. But maybe this just happen to Fernando because his fingers are used to the warmer climes of his homeland. However, the waterproofness passed the test when Fernando spilt boiling water on them and escaped unscathed.

Pina Colada socks

Backcountry.com Cocona Trail Sock - 3 Pair

Backcountry.com Cocona Trail Sock - 3 Pair

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2008

They dry quick and are very comfy...even after hiking many miles with a heavy pack. And the best part is that when Fernando comes home from a long journey, takes off his socks, and then smells them...he is greeted with the sensual aroma of pina coladas, and he is reminded of his days in a hammock on the beach, sipping his favorite drink.
