Breeze Low for fall Khumbu

Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 13, 2006

Fall in the Khumbu is warm in the day and cold at night. Trekking is an alternation of 1000 foot uphills and 500 foot downhills. I used my old NB sneakers last year but wanted something more sturdy and not so toe abusing on the downhills.
After a few weeks of break-in in the Wasatch they seem to be the ticket. They’re very light but rigid with a super tough toe box to protect my little piggies. Great Vibram sole.

Marmot DriClime Windshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 19, 2004

You can die of hypothermia a lot faster than from dehydration. This windshirt is absolutely a key layer in your tool box. Perfect over a silkweight capilene base for high exertion in cooler temperatures. Perfect under a shell or deluge jacket when the precip is nuking. It is super compressible. You will LOVE this essential piece of technical clothing.

Recommended by gear guru Bob Merrill this jacket is everything he claims. On multi day adventures wet clothing can be life threatening - this jacket is your key to keeping DRY! Incredibly light, super packable and with so many features it makes a ferrari look simple. This jacket is an essential tool in your toolbox of technical clothing. The huge pit zips make it perfect for extreme temperature variations and exertion ranges. This is a MUST BUY!
