Stomping Grounds:
From the peaks via the trails to the valleys of the Bay Area, Northern Califoria. -
Bio:
I am an ex-military young professional in the Silicon Valley of Northern California. I enjoy the outdoors and nature for all of its beauty that God gave it and the challenges that come with exploring it. I love the opportunity to look down from a peak, ridge, or rock... getting there is how we find out what we are made of.

Jetboil 1.5 Liter Cooking Pot

YES...so its not just me? It seems to shrink after cooling off from the heat. Then you get to play the "Who can get the lid on" game?
I propose that Jetboil use a different material.

Patagonia Footwear Nomad GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Youre right... $25. Corrected. I must have been way more tired from my trip than I thought. I'm thinking that maybe the use of some construction materials went up. I see that the MSRP on Patagonias site is what went up. So I'm guessing BC moved up to match it. Patagonia released a new boot line called the P26, so why does this one have to go up? Oh well, They are mighty nice.

Yup... I have a question... Why did the price go up $25? I bought these boots for $160 right here 2 years ago. Arggh Backcountry, don't make me do it.

Definitely! My feet are pretty wide as well, both in the toe box and the mid section. The shoes have generous space.

Pat, notice the elastic loops are vertically in line with the sturdier webbing gear loops that are on the bottom rear of the pack... That is the setup for Ice Axes/Hatchets. You are supposed to drop the handle of the axe all the way through the webbing loop at the bottom of the pack until the head rests on the webbing, and then rotate it vertically toward you and all the way up so that it is upside down with the hand pointing up. You would then use the elastic loops too wrap around, hook to itself, and secure the handle of the axe. Note, most people probably do a custom random gear attachment instead because most people probably don't use this pack for ice climbing with axes. (Not that it can't take the cold and wet..it can)

These boots should be able to handle feet width EE. You can snug them up top with the laces, but the toe box and ball area is pretty wide.
