Awesome Pants!

Arc'teryx Scorpion Ski Pant - Men's

Arc'teryx Scorpion Ski Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

These pants are the shizz.
Have skied these pants for about 21 days so far. Totally waterproof, windproof, and the fuzzy lining keeps things toasty, not to mention comfy. I am hard on everything I own, and these pants are no exception. Despite this, they still look brand new after a quick trip through the washing machine. Not so much as a scuff on the fabric.
Worth every penny!

Great Jacket

The North Face Free Thinker II Jacket - Men's

The North Face Free Thinker II Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

I am 6'4" and about 200#. The large fits great with room for base layers as needed for a shell only. Pit zips provide nice climate control, but are a little difficult to get to. Am thinking of installing some longer zipper pulls to fix this issue. No breathability issues, and I have done some pretty strenuous stuff in this get up. I use a wool base layer, and fleece mid layer(s) and haven't been wet ever. I like the Arcteryx stuff alot, but this jacket had the TPC (Total Pocket Count) I need for all my junk. Waterproof, windproof, and worth the $$.

Perfect

Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Pant - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Pant - Men's

Perfect length for wearing with ski boots. Warm, comfortable, excellent wicking, and never stinky. A fly would be handy, but it's easy enough to work around.

Great Base Layer

Icebreaker BodyFit260 Altitude 1/4-Zip Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit260 Altitude 1/4-Zip Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

This is a great base layer top. The 1/4 zip offers climate control, and the merino wool offers all of its benefits. Wicking, warmth, and never stinky. I like the neck, and find it nicely sized. Definitely not made to fold over though. Somewhat pricey, but a very nice technical base layer. I would buy it again, and am considering buying a "spare".
