  • Stomping Grounds:

Whiteface, Adirondack High Peaks, backcountry glades
  • Bio:

I like to telemark ski both in the backcountry and lift service. Fresh powder and bluebird skies (sunshine) skies gets me up in the morning. Though, they are few and far between in the east. I like to visit Snowbird and Alta once a year to get the real powder days. I live in Saranac Lake, NY.

Backcountry.com Shift Softshell Jacket - Women's

September 16, 2009

I probably wouldn't go much colder than 40 degrees with this jacket, with one base layer underneath.

How would you clean a melted butter stain off this jacket? I just got mine (hooded version), and stained it eating crab legs on an outside patio.

Cute, but too small for my big noggin'. So I had to return it.

Very Versitile...Makes Climbing Way Easier

G3 Targa Ascent S/S elle Telemark Ski Binding - Women's

G3 Targa Ascent S/S elle Telemark Ski Binding - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 13, 2009

These are excellent bindings. Great for inbounds, and great for out-of-bounds. One easy slide of lever and you have a free pivot point at your toe. Makes climbing way easier. Slide the lever back for the trip down the mountain, or for inbounds lift service skiing. I only wish there were color options (not big on the bright green).

Loving these skis

Black Diamond Velvet Ski - Women's

Black Diamond Velvet Ski - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 13, 2009

I was looking for something in between my K2 She's Piste and my Karhu Jil's. A mid-fat, that can handle anything. I believe I found them in the Velvet. I only skied them once, but so far I am loving these skis. Very fun, good hold on firm, confident in crud, and light-weight. So happy w/my purchase. :-)

G3 Targa Ascent S/S elle Telemark Ski Binding - Women's

February 25, 2009

Do women have to get the Elle, or can they get the regular version (G3 Targa Ascent S/S Mountain Telemark Bindings). I like the plain silver, rather than green. Would the regular version fit women's size 8, or 24.5 mondo points? Thanks.

Rating for this product: 5 February 20, 2009

I have the black one. It has a thin fleece lining. Very cozy soft shell, very functional and good looking. It's been cold, so I wear a wind shell over it. I am looking forward to spring so I can show it off more.
