Salomon Speed II Jacket - Women's

Salomon Speed II Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 January 28, 2009

If you like steam saunas, and you like to exercise in the rain, but you don't have time to sauna after your workout....this jacket might be for you. I'm not sure what speed this jacket is designed for, but it must be somewhere under a 10-minute mile. At that pace, my 'watch window' had turned into a steam gauge within 20 minutes. I could not see my watch through the steam. And no, I am not typically a runner who sweats a lot; nor do I have a particularly high metabolism.

The armpits are a vented poly fabric, to help heat exchange- but they also soak up the sweat and stink. So you will have to rinse the jacket after every use, if you sweat in it. If you like to run with your hands over your head, those pit vents might work great for you.

The jacket is nice and light, the chest pocket is nice, and the collar is lined with comfy soft fabric, the blue color is pretty. If you like to promenade through the rain in a stately manner, or if you can manage to exercise without sweating at all, this is a pretty nice option.
