The North Face Verdi II Down Jacket - Men's

The North Face Verdi II Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2008

I work in a very cold region of Alaska. I bought this jacket to wear both on the job and for recreation it performs perfectly; with or without wool or fleece underneath. I can stand stationary out in the cold and keep warm or open the vents if I go hiking. There's ample space to keep a balaclava, watchman's cap, goggles, badges, and a whole slew of other gear in the pockets. I couldn't ask for much more.

Amazing

DAKINE Apollo Glove

DAKINE Apollo Glove

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2008

Followed Steven's recommendation to order up a size and am thankful I did. Gloves fit great and are very warm, but had a similar issue with a seam on the interior tearing shortly after purchase. Returned them and got another pair which hasn't had a problem. Thoroughly satisfied with both the gloves and backcountry.com's customer service.

All around fantastic

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

I've worn these snowboarding, hiking, snowmobiling, and even simply to work and have yet to have a situation arise where I was uncomfortable. I use them in Alaska at -40 temps and they pull through like a champ. They have a wide range of flexibility while still keeping warmth centered around the body. Thoroughly impressed.
