One Eyed Dude of Spokane has to wear glasses for protection...

Smith Knowledge OTG Goggle

Smith Knowledge OTG Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2009

Well, after an onslaught of freezing, frosty snow, that clung to everything, including goggles, I finally had to get a new pair...as an individual who needs eye protection because I only have one eye, it was imperative that I find a goggle that fit over my polycarbonite impact resistant glasses and after careful review and study, and budget constraints, I believe the Smith Knowledge OTG goggle fills the bill nicely...although they do fog up when I amble into the steaming hot lodge, I noticed that everyones goggles were also fogged up. I use a Smith No Fog cloth on the outside and that works well until I bite it and get them all packed with snow. They are super comfy and provide exceptional vision and seem to be fairly "scratch resistant" at this point. I have the RC36 lens in them and my only wish would be to have a more amber colored lens because at the end-of-the-day, I did have a little contrast perception difficulty. Overall though, ya can't beat this pair of goggles and they are a great bargain for around $60 smacker's. As a snowboard instructor, I often am either standing around a lot or moving very slowly down the bunny hill and have had no fogging issues with the goggle nor my glasses, but like I said, use of the Smith No Fog cloth helps considerably.

DAKINE Duel Backpack - 1600cu in

December 31, 2008

It's expandable and quite cavernous when you load it full...plus, don't forget to take into account the water bottle holders. So, it expands outward, even though it maybe 1 inch shorter.

DAKINE Duel Backpack - 1600cu in

DAKINE Duel Backpack - 1600cu in

Rating for this product: 5 December 30, 2008

Yay, Santa Claus brought me this pack for Xmas and I love it...most especially the laptop pocket for my iBook as it also lends support to the back while on my long trek to the bus stop...I love how comfortable it is too and the interior pockets for the iPod and Cell are a great addition...the pack's overall design is perfect for a good load of whatnot's on my daily explorations of the urban wild's of Spokane. Oh, and it's waterproof and well padded so nothing get's busted...the checker pattern is very stylin' as well.

November 20, 2008

Was curious about the pocket closures on the back and cargo pockets. Are they zip, velcro or snap?
