The North Face Resolve Jacket - Men's

December 9, 2008

The main difference is the resolve has a hanging mesh lining inside, while the Venture is 2.5 layer construction so it does not. The Venture is lighter and more packable, while the Resolve is a little heavier and one could say a little more heavy duty.

The North Face Aconcagua Down Jacket - Women's

December 5, 2008

This jacket with a fleece underneath it should keep you plenty warm. The only concern with using this jacket or the Nuptse as a ski jacket will be if you are skiing in real stormy weather. Because it is built as an insulating jacket it is not waterproof. In turn if the weather gets real bad you might get wet.

The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket - Men's

December 2, 2008

It's a good jacket, so as long as your winter isn't too cold (below freezing), you should be fine. The supplex on the shoulders will block a little bit of the wind but that's about it. I would suggest the Apex Bionic Jacket or the Windwall 2 Jacket either one will block the wind much better
