This is a great set. It met all my expectations and for a great price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a utensil set. I was also impressed with the quality of the mini carabiner.

This is a great little stuff sack. It is nothing more or nothing less. It does what it is suppose to do. If you are looking for ultra light weight you may want to go with something else.

I just picked these up last week. So far I am impressed. They are super comfortable out of the box. I typically wear a 11.5 US in Salomons and Montrails. I went with a 45 in these and they fit great. They give me the room that is need for swelling if I am going to be hiking or trekking to the nearest climb. I look forward to write more once I have had them for a few months.

Just picked this jacket up. I am 6'3" (225lbs) and went with an XL. It gives me room under to layer. I am going to use this mainly as a belay jacket so the little bit of room and long arms will be great. I also was very impressed with the detail they put in this jacket for under $185. The 2 hand pockets have a micro fleece lining with a cinch chord in the pockets. Look forward to putting it to the test.

I got these gloves the other week and love them. This is Stoic's best fitting glove yet in my opinion. Also for the price there isn't anything that comes close in a leather glove. As far as the fit I went with an XL and have average sized hands for a 6'3" guy. Look forward to seeing how they work through this winter season.

I just picked this jacket up and can't wait to test it out. I am 6'3" and 225lbs and went with an XL. It gave me enough room to put a 800 fill down ultra light jacket under it. It is definitely a slim/alpine fit so take that into account when sizing.

I got these in April 2011 and have been very pleased. I would have to say they have one of the best out of box fits out on the market. I personally haven't used them as a trail runner I have used as a light hiker and have put many miles on them. the traction is great and the TPU plate is very nice and haven't had any issues with rocks getting at my feet with pack weight. I feel very confident that I will be able to get at least another year out of them since they have held up so well. (I am normally between an 11 and 11.5 in other brands and went with an 11.5 in this shoe.

This is a super comfortable short. The brushed micro fleece lining in the waist sets these apart from other shorts on the market. The web belt also is a plus when you are wearing these day after day as your weight may fluctuate. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a quality pair of shorts. I just went to the Backcountry.com retail store to try this on. I normally have hard time fitting into Stoics jackets. I tried this guy and it fit great. I tried the XL on and the sleeves were a little tight around my arms. I then tried the XXL and it was a perfect fit. It was plenty long in the sleeves and torso. I am 6'3" 225lbs......

I just took this pack on a 4 day trip in Escalante, Utah. It worked really well and carried the weight well. They did a good job with the padding in the hip belt and the back panel. I like the idea behind the front pocket opening into the main pocket but like some of the other brands design better on that feature. It should some signs of abrasion but I was really hard on it but didn't wear through.

I got to see this pack for the first time today in detail. I was totally impressed with how detailed the features are on the bag. It has the most adjustment out of any pack that I have seen on that market. It also is one of the only packs that I am aware of that completely opens up for complete panel loading access. Arcteryx went even further on the detail using tiny daisy chains and the internal pockets that split the top compartment. This is a must have pack if u are looking for a piece that you will not have to replace for many years..

This is a great light. It is plenty bright enough for around camp or even on a late night hike. I love the red light on in it. It is super useful in the tent.

I am getting back into trail running and after reading many reviews I went with the Fireblade. It is a super good fit right out of the box. I normally wear a 11.5 and went with the 44.5. It gives me plenty of room in the toe box when my feet start to swell. I have had them a little over a month and they are showing no signs of wear.

Black Diamond updated and made some really cool changes on this binding. They gave it a little wider base plate to make it more rigid side to side. They also moved the pivot point back on the binding a little bit to make it more natural. The older model had it under your toes apposed to the ball area on your foot. These were much needed improvements.

This is a great sleeping pad for the price. It is light weight at just 1 lb 6oz it makes it one of the lighter options out there and inflates to 2.5 inches. At that price you can even get the kids off the ground.

This is one of the coolest hydration bladders on the market right now. I have personally used the camel back as well I have uses the platypus hydration bladders. This new bladder has a plastic backing so that it doesn't role around funny in the pack. It also has a really nice handle on it that makes it easy to fill with water while protecting th place where the hose goes in. I think this is the hottest hydration blader on the market.

This is the new and improved Hotwire. BD has done it again. The new Hotwire is a few grams lighter then the older model. They are able to cut the weight by hot forging them which allows them to cut weight. They are made right her in the USA in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This is a pretty cool little light. It is super light weight and bright. It comes with rechargeable batteries built in. On the brightest setting you can get 5-6 hours out of it. I personally wouldn't use it on any over night backpacking trips or mountaineering trip because you have to be able to charge it up. But for a light close to home it works really well.

I got to see this harness the other day. It looks like a great option for emergency situations or short repels. It comes in a cool little sack and could fit into my hand. It makes for no reason not to have it in your pack becasue it is so small and only 8oz.

I just got these leashes for an old pair of BD Rage. They are great and easy to get in and out of. They will fit any axe with a whole at the top. These are not sold as a pair. Highly recommend them over the BD Slider leashes.

I love these shoes. They are super warm and practical. I normally wear a 11-11.5. I went with an 11 and they fit perfect. I would highly recommend these as a fall winter shoe.

This carabiner rocks. I picked up one of these a few months ago to try out and have been super pleased with it. It has done everything it is suppose to do. It compares to BD firewire, livewire, and neutrino. So if you are on a budget this is the way to go.

I just picked up a bottle of this the other day. It is super easy to apply and straight forward. It requires you to soak the rope for 2 hours. After soaking you put in old pillow case and was with warm water in washing machine. Then you lay it out to dry. After washing and drying the rope feels great and looks great. I look forward to getting out these winter season and see how it does in wet icy conditions. It is worth the money to add some life to a rope.

This tool is amazing. It was made for the ice and is the easiest tool to place by far. I have climbed with the BD Reactors, BD Fusion, and I own an older pair of BD Rage. If you are looking for one tool this is what you want. If you plan to do a lot of mixed climbing I wouldn't suggest these.

This is a great screw as expected from BD. It is super easy to place after you get it started. If you have the cash go for these but if not the BD Turbos rock. I have more Turbos on my rack then Express. When it comes down to cost it just makes way more sense when it only takes a few more seconds to place the Turbos.

This is a great set of nuts. They are super easy to place because of the curved shape. I prefer these over the Black Diamond Nuts I have. These are a must have on any rack.

This jacket is amazing. I am super excited to wear this jacket this winter. I normally wear a Large in Arxteryx.In the Atom I went up a size to an XL. The large when I tried it on fit but was super slim and wanted room to wear a small layer under it. When I tried the Xl it was still slim but gave me room to fit something under it.

This is an awesome rappel device. It works great when you are rapping a 150ft caring a pack. It find that a normal ATC can be a little scary while caring a load. I always keep one with me on long technical climbs. You can also use it to belay someone if you choose. This is a must have for every climber.

This is a great belay device. The teeth make it super easy to belay larger climber if needed. It also is great running to ropes through for ice and alpine climbs.

This bag rocks. I put my Beal Edlinger 10.2 in it and fits great. The shoulder straps that make it a backpack are a must have. The 4x5 tarp is plenty big for a 60m as well as a 70m rope with plenty of space to get your rock shoe on with out getting dirty. A must have for any rope.

This is a great screw and my favorite of different ice screws I have. It is really easy to place. The teeth are still razor sharp after two seasons of climbing on it. There are no signs of major wear. For the money it is your best bet. I prefer these over the new express screws. It only takes a few more seconds to place these.

I just picked up a few of these and love them. Super light weight and a name you can trust. I found on the larger size you can take a small rubber band and slide on tight before you but your carabiner on and it will hold it in place pretty well. The loop on the opposite side of the gasket is a larger loop so it adds some security to the carabiner from flipping over.

I finally broke down and bought my first rope after reading a lot of reviews. I have used this rope the past three weeks and have been pleased. It is well worth the price and it is a dry rope. It feeds through my belay device very smoothly. I haven't taken any falls on it yet. Also climbing on it for three weeks the sheath looks as new as the day I got it. Well worth the money.

This is a great fuel. I use this for my little Primus lantern. I got over 3 nights use out of it with fuel still remaining for next trip out.

This is an awesome addition to anyones camping gear. It is super easy to set up and take down. Took it out on a day hike and it was wonderful. I would suggest to get the additional rope ties for it for sure. If I didn't have those today I would have never gotten it up on the tree.

This is a great buy. The mantle was super easy to install as well as the self igniter works great. On average it has taken me about two clicks to get it started. It does put off some heat so it will work great this winter to huddle around. It is just as bright as my other full size car camping lantern.

This is a great pad for the price. I us mine for car camping and it is plenty thick for a good nights sleep. It is a little to big and bulky for backpacking but car camping is great. I would recommend storing flat under a bed or back of closet with air plug open so it will inflate easier when you go out.

I just purchased these the other week and love them. They breathe extremely well and have plenty of support for the the heel of the foot. The lacing system works great, I was a little hesitant not knowing much about that system. After getting the shoes I love it. easy on and off and adjust to the foot extremely well. I normally wear an 11 US in other shoes and got an 11 in these. So they fir true to size.

I got this jacket last week and took it camping in Moab and it did great. It was warm enough to wear in in the day and block the wind. At night it worked great under my down jacket. I am 200lbs and 6'3" and got an XL and it works great. I sized up since it is the summit series which normally are more form fitting. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a light weight layering piece or a great light jacket for a windy day.

This was my first down bag and for the price and weightyou can't beat it. I took it out this weekend and temperatures got down to the teens. It stayed super warm. One thing you have to remember is to fluff it up before you get into it so the down can do its job. I am looking forward to using it again soon.

I got this bag for my wife and she loved it. The first night out she got cold in the bag. The second night she was sold, she figured out how to use the draft collar and she stayed super toasty. Her feet stayed supper warm since in womans bags they add more down around the feet. I would highly recommend this bag.

This is a great head lamp. I would put this up against other lamps that cost twice as much. It was much lighter than my other lamp and had more settings as well. If you are looking for something light and that doesn't break the bank go with this guy.

I took this shoe to Moab last weekend and it was killer. It was super sticky and felt great on the foot. I did a little bouldering in it and also did some trad stuff. I went with the 44.5 because it will pack out a little since it is an unlined shoe. Can't wait to get it on granite. I would highly recommend this guy.

The Arc'teryx Theta SV Jacket jacket totally rocks. I got this jacket right before this winter to use as my shell for ice climbing. It is amazing and fits me like a glove. I am 6'3" and weigh 190lbs and have longer arms. I went with a size large. It has a very nice technical fit and still gives me room to put a few layers under it and the sleeves are plenty long. I have even warn the Patagonia down sweater under before. When wearing this jacket you don't have to worry about getting wet. It was a little more money then I wanted to spend at the time, but now that I have it, I know I have a keeper.

I love Chaco sandals. This was my third pair to own. I use these guys all year round. I bought these so I could wear them with a nice wool sock in the winter. The hold up great for hiking on shorter days as well.

I picked two of these up before a trip to Colorado. They were great we love them. They are the perfect size to carry with you on those long days out in the cold. I was able to put in my jacket pocket with no problem. They kept or hot drinks hot and my cold drinks cold. They did exactly what they are suppose to do.

I love these pants. I picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago and can't make myself take them off. The are super warm and you can move around great in them. I bought them to use for ice climbing and skiing. I have yet to get wet in them. I am 6'3" 190lbs and normally wear a 33-34" in the waist and a 34" long inseam. I went with the M/L and they fit me perfect. Have plenty of room in the waist due to the built in belt and the length is great. No more riding up. If you need a new technical soft shell this is the way to go. Love it.

I was super excited when I got this glove for this climbing season. It did really well the first few days out. It fit really well. I could use all my fingers, but after a few days the started to pack out. So my gloves now fit a little big on me. I wish I would have gotten a M instead of a L.

I picked up a few of these guys for a upcoming climbing trip to have a few extra lockers. They came in handy because I ended up having to set up more webbing to drop down into the canyon then I thought. Worth every penny to have a few extra locker because you never know when they may be needed.

I got this watch last November and love the watch. I had mixed feelings after ordering it due to a few reviews I read. But I love this watch. I got the one with the orange band. If you are a clean freak you will have to get over the fact that the band does show dirt. All the features thus far have been super accurate(must read instructions and set watch to altitude when it is given in and area) If you do that it is great. You must also take the watch of to get an accurate reading of the temperature. I haven't found a watch yet that reads the temperature accurately on the wrist. So that is just part of it. Highly recommend this guy.
