Mountain Hardwear Transition Tight - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Transition Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2009

I am 5'9" and 140 lbs, 30" waist and a 31" inseam, a narrow frame. The size small fit me okay; the length was great and the fit was very fitted without feeling like a sausage. On my legs there were gaps between my skin and the tights allowing good movement. The waist did land a little high, an inch below my belly button but as I'm wearing these underneath jeans or other sports pants this was fine for me as I like the extra coverage. I intended to use these as undergarments while motorcycling but have worn them in 10 degree F weather and they provide an excellent base layer for any activity (even snowboarding). If I lose these tights or destroy them in the wash I'll be back for a replacement.

Mountain Hardwear Transition Zip T - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Transition Zip T - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2009

I am 5'9" and 140 lbs, 30" waist and a 31" inseam, a narrow frame. The medium size fits me; the sleeves land about an inch and a half below the crease of my wrist and there is ample room in the shoulders and arms. I've used this as a semi base layer, putting on a tank top underneath and I've also used this as a midlayer since I can fit a thinner long sleeve base layer underneath the Mntn Hardware shirt. The quality is excellent and it's proven to be windproof on beach jogging ventures, snowboarding in 10 degree F weather, and while traveling on a motorcycle. The material has a somewhat metallic sheen to it (in blue anyway), inviting sarcasm about which planet I'll be traveling to but it doesn't deter me from saying this is one of the best performance tops I own.

Good Gloves

DAKINE Titan Gloves

DAKINE Titan Gloves

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2009

For the price you can't beat these gloves. I have long thin hands and normally wear a size large in most other brands. In these Dakine Titan gloves I curiously wear a size small. Also, the liners when worn with the gloves are very snug. My hands were completely dry after a day of snowboarding and face-planting in 10 degree F weather. However, my fingertips were cold but I generally have this happen with any pair of gloves so it's not a fault of the gloves. I really have no complaints about these gloves especially for the price.
