  • Bio:

Getting up early on weekends to explore new mountain top trails. I am the Highlander and enjoy the views from tree-less summits. I start out at the base and climb to the peak, enjoying the natural surroundings all the way. Snow shoe hiking in Jan & Feb is pristine and one can actually hear the snow making a crystal sound in the air as it is falling in the quiet deep woods.

Mountain Hardwear Koa 35 Backpack - 2000-2450cu in

Rating for this product: 5 October 13, 2010

KOA 35 is one Quality constructed pack. It did not get the publicity as its bigger brother KOA 55, but has the same features. The front auxillary pouch stored in the small front lower zipper is an added plus. The near-full length side zipper makes for easy access to gear. The lightweight vented mesh hip belt is fantastic in any temp. Its form is very well designed and uses top grade fabrics. The fit is so phenominal that you barely know you are wearing it. KOA 35 is among the top of the line packs for Mountain Hardwear and compared to other brands as well. Pack is medium size, black/grey color.

Osprey Packs Switch 16 Pack - 900-1000cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 8, 2009

I bought this as an ultralight day pack for hiking. Great construction and accessability to gear. Fits well and comfortable. Hatch access is simple and fast without having to open buckles and string cords. Top level features in a small pack without overdoing the bells and whistles. Osprey makes great packs and this one stands up for their QUALITY and Reputation.
