Backcountry.com Siphon Wool Hooded Jacket - Men's

January 1, 2009

I'm basically the same size as you (6'1 175 lbs) and I ordered the medium originally. I normally like my clothes to be on the fitted/snug side, but the medium in this jacket was way too tight on me. I exchanged it for the large, which has a little extra room but it's still a really sweet jacket.

I really like these gloves because they fit very well (my hand is 7.5 in. long and size large fits perfect). They are great for everyday wear in not-so-frigid temps. Below 30-35 degrees i would go with something a little warmer. According to the size chart I'm a medium, but I definitely wouldn't want anything smaller than a large- you may want to go with one size up than it says on the chart.

Backcountry.com Siphon Street Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men’s

Great zip-up hoodie. I normally wear a large in backcountry brand stuff so I went with a large in this. I'm 6'1" 175 pounds and it fits well, although it is a little less fitted at the bottom than some other stuff from this brand. Still fits well though. It didn't shrink in the wash like some others are saying, although I kind of wish it would have a little this time. Oh and this doesn't really feel exactly like a cotton hoodie, you can tell it has a little wool in it- other reviewers must have bought knock-offs in an alley somewhere or something......

Great product, very durable and the paint on the outside looks good and feels nice to the touch. I'll never go back to a crappy plastic nalgene bottle ever again.

This is a pretty sweet jacket......it has nice styling and great fit. I'm 6'1" 175 lbs and the large couldn't fit me better. It's lightweight yet warm, and will be great for layering. I now have two jackets from this company: this one and the hooded wool jacket, and I wish I could buy them all.

I'm 6'1" and 175 lbs, large fits me perfect. I had to exchange the medium I ordered originally because it was way too tight across the chest (my chest measurement is ~39 inches if that helps at all). The large is still on the form-fitting side, but that's good if you like your clothes that way. This is a great jacket- it looks nice but not too nice, if that makes any sense at all.
