Suunto Core Altimeter Watch

Rating for this product: 5 July 31, 2009

the functions of this watch seem to allways work as long as u reset the alti before every trip - easy - but what i love most is the storm alarm. its easy enough to know that a storm is coming by looking up at the sky, but when night comes and its a little cloudy and u want to sleep w/o the rain fly what do u do? turn on your storm alarm of course, which is fairly sensitive to changes is baro pressure. so if the clouds build up while your asleep your core will happily beep at you giving you plenty of time to through that rain fly over and sleep warm and dry- note that the beeper on the core is only moderatly loud, if you sleep very heavy it wont wake you- or put it next to ur head cause the alarm wont ever wake me when im sleepin on my arm. the flat and then 45 degree arrow is the barometric pressure- the flat part is from 3-6 hours ago while the 45 degree is from now up to 3 hours ago- flat means whater is same, up better and down is worse. if it drops for to long the storm alarm goes off if it is turned on. stay alapha and get out there! =)

Oakley Riddle Sunglasses

Oakley Riddle Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 4 March 16, 2009

yo, I got these a while ago cause i lost my half jacket Oak's and these are stellar. they do look more like goggles but thats ok, i wear them mostly with my outdoor clothes but they still looked great on a hawaiian beach. they are pretty dark and wrap around nicley- oh and im a guy that walks a straigt line so they deffinitly work both ways. they say medum faces but i've got a large head and they fit great- good job Oakley- they are bigger on your face then they look in the picture but i still recomend them especialy if their to go w/ winter clothes. only for stars cause they are a little bit more boxy than i thought but deff. 5 stars for Oakley craftmenship and bc service. rock out BC

Gerber Truss 2.5 Knife

Gerber Truss 2.5 Knife

Rating for this product: 3 March 16, 2009

this knife is small but stays sharp and usefull. easy to use and open, little bit less easy to close but no biggy. i owned one for a year and i never had to sharpen it through repeated use. the lock mechanism did break on me- I have no idea why, all of a sudden the peice of mettal that serves as the lock got soft like plastic and broke. I took it back to REI and got a new one no Q's asked but be warned.- other than that its a pretty good knife for cutting rope and random other camp stuff. G-tron
