I live in the NW and use the shoes for ignoring the big puddles, rainy weather, and for coaching soccer on wet grass. The shoes are fabulous. I spent two hours in the driving rain last Wed night setting up soccer goals, out in mud and wet grass, and my feet stayed perfectly dry. I've had them only a month or so, though, and I already had to glue down two treads that were coming up on one side. Sort of annoying to already be doing repair work on brand new shoes.
