Rab Latok Salopettes - Men's

Rab Latok Salopettes - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 3 days ago

Just got these last week. Taken them to Alta, UT around 5 times since I've gotten them. Only groomers at the moment so can't say much about the breathability of the eVent material since not doing any work on the groomers. The eVent doesn't quite stop the wind like the Gore-Tex Pro Shell material, but definitely helped with the wind. Was really cold yesterday, -2 degrees fareinheit without wind chill at the top of Collins chair yesterday, and it was windy. The eVent did a good job stopping the wind, but like I mentioned, my Gore-Tex Pro Shell jacket did a better job.

I am 6'2'' and usually get all my pants in the size M. Which I did with this pant, it fits great, except around the crotch, it's a little tight. Could use an extra inch like the large has, just don't want to move up the waist sizing at all since this fits perfectly if not a little loose. So the crotch is kinda tight sitting at 6'2'', but other than that the fit is amazing. If the inseam was an inch longer I'd give it 5 stars for the price I was able to get them for.

Hoping these work out great for touring and hiking. Also the crampon protection on the insides of the bottom of the pant seem to be in prime locations; can take these ice climbing!

Osprey Packs Kode 30 Backpack - 1600-2000cu in

I think I will be purchasing this bag. Just have a question about sizing? I currently own the Aether 70 in a size L. Should I just assume the Kode 30 L is the bag for me? Or should I head into the valley here in Salt Lake from my current home at Alta to try some bags on? I'm assuming Osprey tries to use the same sizing for all their bags, regardless of winter bag or backpacking bag. Anyone have any insight on the matter?

Also, what size hydration reservoir would fit best in this guy? I currently have the 3L Camelbak one which came with my Camelbak Lobo which I use for mountain biking. I am thinking it may be too big for this guy, thinking about a 2L or a 1.5.. insight please! :-)

DAKINE Heli Pro DLX 20L Backpack -1200cu in

December 1, 2009

So I read on one of the questions for this pack that it's recommended for a user's height of 5'7''? I'm 6'2'', is this pack going to be hella small on me? Kind of lame that they offer the whole "one-size-fits-all" bullsh*t. I've found products that don't have different sizing's generally aren't that quality...

Excellent Board

Never Summer Titan Snowboard

Never Summer Titan Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2009

I am originally from the east coast, Connecticut specifically. Have used it at Stowe and Jay Peak on the east, absolutely loved it in the woods. I am 6'2'' and weigh 175 lbs and I ride the 160. I am now living in Utah at Alta Ski Resort and have the dual pass so I can go to Snowbird. Can't wait to use it out here, have hiked with it twice this season 09-10 but it's rocky and don't want to mess it up until there's more snow. Can't wait to strap it to my backpack and hike some great backcountry lines (the weight is not an issue to me as someone asked about).

If you're looking for a great big-mountain board, I would highly recommend this board. I just wish it'd start to snow here in Little Cottonwood Canyon so I can use it!!

SmartWool Sport NTS Bottom - Men's

November 5, 2009

So I am curious to what these compare to in the Smartwool line? What makes these different from the regular NTS products I am used to? Warmth wise, do they compare to Microweight, Lightweight or Midweight? Also what makes these "Sport NTS" instead of just regular NTS? Would really appreciate any insight anyone has, thanks!!

Mountain Hardwear Beryllium Jacket - Men's

May 29, 2009

So I'm debating between the Typhoon Jacket and the Beryllium Jacket. I'm looking for something I can use in the summertime for mountain bike riding and hiking. In the winter I am thinking I would definitely use the Beryllium Jacket for snowboarding/skiing. My real question is: is the Beryllium Jacket lightweight and breathable enough to use a rain shell in the summer with temperatures going into the 90s.

Lib Technologies TRS MTX Snowboard

January 18, 2009

I went to a demo day at a local mountain maybe 3 weeks ago and rode this board and also the skate banana for 1 run each. I didn't really get the feel for either, but need a new board bad and I'm considering this.I love to dick around in the woods, hit natural features, bomb anything and of course tear apart powder where available.I'm 6'2'' and weigh 175. I've been riding a Burton Bullet 164 for the past 3 seasons and it's really time to get a new board because the bullet isn't allowing me to progress at all. I'm considering the 157 or 154. My boot size is an 11 so i'm thinking the 154 may be too small but I've heard you can size down with these. Just looking for an expert opinion to help me make my decision.
