Usually Brighton in the winter cause it's cheap and easy access O.B. and the summers I'm kinda where ever, usually the mountains.

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

Yes. As long as the snow stays kinda soft they should do alright. If it's hard icy groomers than they're probably less than ideal. I'm 6'2"/195 and demoed the 192's last year on a soft day a.k.a. powder day and they were amazing do whatever you want in the snow nimble. But your not buying these for the groomers. I Have a friend in his 50's that thought the opposite about the groomers but we are also on the opposite ends of the skiing spectrum, he skis lots of groomers and I try to avoid them. I did find some sun baked ice in my adventures and they at least held an edge like most skis do. I think this ski should do just fine in the PNW.

4FRNT Skis CRJ Ski

I'm 6'2"/195lbs. and skied the 188's last season and didn't have a problem with them. They don't have as much rocker in the tip and tails as others but you don't notice, cause they are still really nimble in the trees and tight spots and surf the pow with the best of them. Also having less rocker in the t&t they have more edge contact for those GS turns.

Volkl Gotama Ski

So I have this question posted below on Dash's review and then decided to throw it up here also. I have the 186's and will be mounting the Barons on them and I' am trying to figure out where I want to mount them, currently thinking about +1 which seems to be the consensus on TGR's forum for all around performance with some switch riding. However I have also heard +2 from Ingrid below so I'am just throwing this out cause I want a good slashy/playful ski that will also charge and slay the pow. I' am asking for too much? let me know what ya think. Thanks

K2 ObSETHed Alpine Ski
August 26, 2009
I'am 6'2 185 and aggressive and rock in my own world! Yes these skis are probly longer than listed. I had a pair of the 189's from 2-3 yrs ago and they actually measured 194 from tip to tail. But I think K2 does a measurement from where the ski contacts the the snow, but with the tip and tail rocker I'am not sure where they measure from but my guess is they are probly longer. I haven't measured any skis lately. The tip and tail rocker are gonna make this ski shorter than you might think, (my experience anyway) meaning good for the trees and quick manuevering. As far as the flex goes, I liked the flex from a couple years ago and wish I still had these skis.

Liberty Double Helix Alpine Ski
April 8, 2009
So this answer may be a little late, but better late then never right? Anyway I currently own 2 pair a liberty skis. A pair of SB 180's which were demo's from a shop that I bought without skiing. They ski the whole mountain great by the way. They have held up well considering they were demos and then the abuse that I put them through. Aside from dull edges from sliding rails the worst thing is chipped top sheet edge which I expect. I have tagged a few rocks with them with only minor scratches. I also own a pair of the DH's(awsome ski)but only have 2 days on them so can't really say. But if they hold up like my other skis there should be no problem, plus with a 3 year warranty(unheard of! props liberty) I definetly think they are worth it!

Liberty Double Helix Alpine Ski
April 8, 2009
I own a pair of the 190's DH's and although I only have a couple days on them I'am glad I went with the bigger ski. They are fairly light such a big ski which helps to make them come around quick when you need them to and are a pretty surfy ski and easy to slash ski which makes them good in trees and tight spots in my opinion. I'am 6'2" 185 and consider my self an aggressive skier.
