Stomping Grounds:
wherever i find the friends, the surf, the yoga...i do love the powder of the wasatch...the chaos of asia, the alps... -
Bio:
i was raised in vermont but came west long ago. i love the combination of sunny days and deep powder. i have been traveling at least 6 months a year for almost 20 years. skiing and snow has always been my driving passion but i love to surf. i love my yoga. i wake up everyday with the desire to add positive glow to the planet. some days i cant even believe how beautiful my friends are and that we have the ability to go to such amazing places!

The North Face Siren Down Jacket - Women's
December 27, 2009
if you know the nupste it has simliliar function but more streamline - so great coat but no ski features. i would worry about getting snow down my pants and it would be fine in dry cold but not wet cold. i would more likely go with the amore, jitterbug, or helicity for skiing...little longer and more durable. my favorite down coat for skiing - i wear it all the time is the fates - it is quite a bit more expensive but infinitely more durable and weatherproof.

The North Face Atlantic Jacket - Women's
September 17, 2009
i agree with dave. i am a little bit messy, spill my coffee/cocoa combo daily but still roll with the white. it seems this fabrid sheds pretty well. i love the look of the white so i just wear it and generally hope for the best. this will repel dirt and spills and stay white better than most white will. the denim blue is really cute too though.

The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Women's
January 31, 2009
the nupste i a fabulous "lighter" down jacket. for alaska i would definately want a jacket for over - gore-tex best - and layers. i love wool next to my skin for warmth and function. the north face also makes some great wool layering pieces - the softwool crew and 3/4 zip. you will love alaska!

christine, you will love this jacket! it is a superb layer - but not necessarily to be warn alone. it weighs nothing, packs into the smallest ball - and provides incredible insulation without bulk. i wear it everywhere. this is one of my favorites!
