Its just not a good idea, on the alpine block it is a smooth plastic that will consistently slide off when torsionally twisted... on an AT binding there are sliders that aid in release thats why you can have the rubber soles.

so i am 6 ft and i am about 130lbs i am looking at these skis to put my marker barons on for skinning and back country stuff because there light but would i be able to carve it up on the slopes on a day where theres no pow?
I have a pair of 168 fischer habits now and i love them but should go for the 178's i am growing still but i like a responsive ski

I was wondering if you can use regular alpine boots with these? I dont really want to pay for AT boots when i just got a pair or alpine boots.
