  • Stomping Grounds:

Drictor, IDAHO and a little place called Teton Pass
  • Bio:

Casting small dry fly's for monster brown trout and skiing as much as possible. Pretty darn simple. Oh throw in a river trip or two and I am in nirvana.

And that is why I live in this corner of the country!

    Tight lines and deep pow

These things are awesome! Wear them on rivers throughout Idaho and they have yet to fail me! From cold spring run off on the lochsa to summer days on the middle fork of the salmon these things always bail me out!

NRS Endurance Pants

April 14, 2010

Ok so I wear these throughout the year with different layers underneath.
For spring run off like the Lochsa River in Idaho Google it!) I usually wear a pair of Immersion Research thick skin pants then a pair of NRS Rodeo pants over that and THEN the rodeo pant. Keeps me plenty warm for the occasional swim in #8 degree water!

However, in the heat of the summer they are fantastic for early morning floats or late afternoons. Also work great as river rain gear while lounging on the boat!

Aire Double Action Hand Pump

Aire Double Action Hand Pump

Rating for this product: 2 April 14, 2010

I have owned this pump for the past two years and it is starting fall apart. The hose becomes kinked very easily. I should have gone for an NRS k pump instead.

last year I loged at least 750 miles in my Aire super Duper puma so it got it work out.

UBER WARMTH

Patagonia DAS Insulated Parka - Men's

Patagonia DAS Insulated Parka - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2010

I was able to find this jacket through a Patagonia outlet store but where ever you find one BUY IT! You will never find a warmer puffy! I wear this jacket around town, on the hill, snowblowing the driveway and every time I am warm! During high activity all you need is a breathable base layer and you will be warm! Heck I wear t-shirt and this coat when I snowblow.

Marmot Randonnee Pant - Men's

Marmot Randonnee Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 April 14, 2010

I had to wear these as part of our company uniform this past ski season. Qaulity of the stitching is sub par, sizing is odd, material starts to fail after a half a season of wear espically around the bottoms, I would prefer a snap closure on the side for the full length side zipper instead of the velcro, suspenders are at the wrong angles and the straps tend to fall off the sholders.

Only major plus are the built in knee pads.

Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib - Men's

Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2010

I bought these ski pants two season ago and I have never been happier with a pair of ski pants. So far they have roughly 112 days on them and the wear is fantastic. I have a couple of nic's on the inside legs from some gnarly tumbles but other than that rugged!!!!

My only bitch is there is no pocket on the thigh or lower down on the waist....I think thats being picky....
