Stiff substantial shoe

Five Ten Piton Climbing Shoe

My foot doesn't fit in this shoe. I have a wide foot. But the shoe is really stiff, wrapped with thick rubber, that I know is sticky from other shoes, and seems and feels bomb proof. The shoe is super, super, stiff. I can't imagine using it anywhere but inside a crack. So if you are not looking for that go somewhere else. And the shoe laces are about 2 feet too long, what's up with that that? Plan on buying new laces.

As good as it gets

Arc'teryx R320 Rock Climbing Harness - Men's

I don't think you can get a better harness. There is no rear photo available, so what you get there is a haul loop, a little chalk bag hanger loop, and two more big gear loops. These gear loops are really big. You can probably fit 12 draws on one alone I've been through a lot of harnesses, don't waste your time or money and just spend the extra 50 bucks for this one. Just do it, you'll never look back.

tough shorts

Arc'teryx Witness Long Short - Men's

I forgot my long pants so I wore these climbing at indian creek. I drug these along the rock for about 400 feet of sandstone chimney climbing and they look as good as the new pair I had at home. My knees didn't survive so well. The sizing seems to be correct. Great all around shorts. The material breaths well too. These are made in Thailand. I've been leery of arc'teryx that is not made in canada, but these shorts seem to share that same quality. Some of their made in china stuff is a lower quality though. Which is a shame for the company.
