Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex XCR Glove

December 10, 2008

Is Hestra/goat leather really worth the money? I got some new Dakine Frontier gloves this season and the seams in the palm started coming apart after my third day on the mountain.

Is this just the 2009 iteration of last year's Shift Softshell? Will the sangria color be available again?

Water Wicking Comfort

Helly Hansen Ice Crew Top - Men's

Helly Hansen Ice Crew Top - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 3, 2008

This shirt is absolutely perfect for snowboarding. I throw my Burton system jacket over it, and that's all I need in 15 degree F weather and high winds! I've taken this shirt out five times, and haven't gotten a chance to wash it, but there is no stench whatsoever. Hasn't stopped keeping me warm and dry either. I guess comfort is one of those things you can definitely buy.

Oakley Second Chance Long Underwear Bottom - Men's

Form fitting so you don't have to worry about anything bunching up under your pants or boots! The wicking is everything I could have asked for. I definitely recommend these for anyone who likes to be warm and comfortable. They aren't super insulating, but are definitely warm for how thin they are.

Excellent Buy!

Burton Space Sack

Burton Space Sack

This bag is exactly what you want from a board bag. It doesn't mess around with unnecessary pockets and wheels. Just through your board and gear in and throw it over your shoulder. With the waterproof lining I barely worry about dusting off the snow even. Definitely buy a bigger size than you need though. You won't regret the extra space. (I have a 158cm board and I got the 166 bag, so I can even fit 2 boards with bindings if I need to.)

Solid boots

Ride Anthem Snowboard Boot - Men's

Ride Anthem Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 26, 2008

These aren't the top of the line boots, but they are very comfortable and the lacing system is great! You can't beat them for $150. My feet stay warm and comfortable all day long. The inner boot forms well to the foot which keeps you warm (especially if you have smartwool socks!!!). These laces are extremely durable, so don't worry about them breaking anymore than you would with normal thick laces. They are also true to size. If you want excellent boots these are completely worth it for the price.

I will say, they are probably better for trails than park if you consider the flex and weight.

Burton Aluminium Stud Mat

November 23, 2008

Does anyone know how tall these spikes are? I don't want something that won't be tall enough to grip my boot.
