  • Stomping Grounds:

I spend a lot of my summer running and road biking the streets of Chicagoland... my winters are spent snowboarding in southern Wisconsin....
  • Bio:

I have been a regular at BC for quite some time now and I must say...every purchase has been perfect. I found this site during my training for the 2008 Chicago Marathon and have been shopping here ever since. I love road running (can't stand the "dreadmill"). I run races every month of the year in the Chicagoland area. I have a busy 2009 schedule, thanks in part to my desire to compete in my first Sprint Triathlon. I can't wait to start my training...I've already made a few purchases for my road biking on BC...

Lock-n-Load(ed)...

Cutter Drome Cable Lock

Cutter Drome Cable Lock

Rating for this product: 4 May 18, 2009

I got this lock on Bonktown a few weeks ago and have used it several times...I would use it more, but I just don't need it all of the time...Anyway, it's definitely a "user friendly" lock. You can sling it around your shoulder and you won't even feel it. It can be rolled up to a very compact storing size. It's very well built. Only one "con"...the lock tumbler can be stubborn (at times) and you may have to try once or twice to get it to work... don't get me wrong, it does work...just not silky smooth. I recommend this as a lock you can transport and use on a daily basis...oh yeah, it is well protected, will not scar or mar your ride...

Salomon SpeedCross 2 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon SpeedCross 2 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2008

I love my SC2's...they're light, fast and have some "sick" traction... I immediately replaced the insoles with SuperFeet insoles (as I always do) and have been logging some of my fastest Laps/Splits to date... The SC2 is very light and still has stability where it's needed (for me at least). I have an 8K trail run tomorrow that I'm looking forward to (like a kid on Christmas morning)!!! I highly recommend this trail runner from Salomon...

The North Face Multisport Quarter Sock - Men's

The North Face Multisport Quarter Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 28, 2008

I paired these socks with my new Salomon SC2's and found a winning combination. I have a shoe size 10 (men's) and ordered the size L for this sock (thanks to gear expert live chat feature)... Perfect fit and super warm, but breathable sock... I'm looking forward to adding to my North Face sock inventory... Bring on the cold Chicago winter...

Fits like a glove...

Sugoi Firewall LT Glove

Sugoi Firewall LT Glove

Rating for this product: 4 October 3, 2008

Got my Sugoi Firewall LT gloves today...just in time...it's 57 degrees here in Chicago and the air is starting to dry out. I ordered the mediums and they fit perfectly...I just stuck with my regular sizing for other gloves that I have ordered in the past. The soft "nose wipe" area is nice and the fit around the wrist is snug and secure...good glove for cooler temps...you'll need to go heavier when winter arrives, but for now...PERFECT choice.

PERFECT!!!!

CW-X Expert Tight - Men's

CW-X Expert Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 2, 2008

My CW-X Expert's just arrived today and I am completely satisfied with them. They fit perfectly and the 3-day shipping option worked out just right...I am a 5'9" distance runner and I weigh 147lbs...and the SMALL size fits exactly as a performance tight should...I was a bit hesitant ordering a small (thighs and hammies are fairly big as compared to the lower leg), but the small size contours just right and supports the knee area dead-on. There is no extra material in the crotch and did not slip down the leg after running in them...I will give you a better review after October 12th (Chicago Marathon)...I recommend these based on today's run...Oh yeah, one last thing, the color is not as I thought...but who really cares...we're guys!!!
