  • Stomping Grounds:

Salt Lake City, Park City, UT
  • Bio:

First and foremost, I would call myself a runner. I love to run and try to race a couple times a year, anything from a 5k to a half marathon (tried a full once and don't plan on doing that again!).
In the winter you can usually find me at Brighton on the weekends, casually snowboarding with friends.
In the summer I will probably be out on a bike. I prefer my road bike, but my mountain bike sees more action on days I want to get out of the city. Luckily for me, even my road rides take me through the scenic canyons of the Salt Lake valley.
I just wish there were more days in the week. I never feel like I get to run or ride enough!

Great pair of underwear, super comfy, but I feel like they run a little big. I am normally a medium, but these felt almost baggy, not a plus. But the lightweight material and neutral colors make up for the fit (at least they don't ride up).

These are great! Cute pattern, cute colors, great fit! These don't ride up at all on me and I would definitely recommend them. I can't give them 5 stars because they do leave a panty line under knit pants, skirts, and dresses, but under jeans and thicker bottoms, they're fine.

prAna Satori Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 7, 2011

I have been coveting these pants for over a year and am so glad prAna brought them back. I completely fell in love with them the minute I put them on. They were soft and flowy and oh so flattering. And then I washed them and dried them and they shrank. I washed them again and hung them to dry, hoping to stretch them back out, but haven't tried them on since so I'm not sure if that helped. I love them, but am really sad that warm water and gentle drying settings had such a dramatic effect.

Icebreaker Villa Dress - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 October 24, 2011

I got this dress in the Jasper color and love it! The fits is body skimming, but not too snug (more snug on bottom than top for me). The neckline is not so deep that it's offensive, but deep enough to show off some jewelry. I've worn this dress with flip flops, with sky high stilletos, and with jeans and cowboy boots. It's so versatile and it travels so well! And of course has all the amazing properties of Icebreaker wool.
The only thing I didn't love was the placement of the belt loop, but that was easily remedied with a pair of scissors!
I'm 5'6", 135-ish and have the medium.

Such a great alternative to your normal, cotton, run of the mill sweatshirt! This hoody has style and class! So comfy in the office (gotta love the temperature regulating properties of wool when the office AC is blasting), but equally functional as a cover up to and from yoga.

Icebreaker Superfine150 Meridian Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 8, 2011

I've been wanting this shirt for a couple seasons now and finally broke down and got it. I sized up in this shirt to a large (almost everything else from Icebreaker that I own is a medium). I wanted a looser fit and longer length. The large actually fits my shoulders better, too. I don't find the v-neckline to be overly deep or revealing. I'm very excited to have this shirt and am pretty sure it will be put to good use this summer (the raglan sleeves will make this super comfy hiking and backpacking!).

Rating for this product: 5 June 8, 2011

I have had a lot of running skirts over the past three years, and most have been fine. Or so I thought. Once I got this one home and started wearing it, it seems like it's the only skirt I want to wear. I find myself reaching for it every time it's clean. The waistband doesn't pinch so it doesn't create a muffin top, the interior liner shorts don't roll or ride up, the little pleat on the side gives this skirt a little more attitude than others. All in all, my favorite!

Rating for this product: 5 June 8, 2011

This vest has become my go to vest for cycling this spring. It's so small and easy to pack down, but offers just the right amount of protection on chilly mountain descents. The pockets are helpful (although not ideal for cycling since they are front pockets). The drawcord at the bottom means you can tighten up the hem to keep the wind out. I'm looking forward to using this versatile piece running and hiking later this year.

Rating for this product: 4 June 8, 2011

When I first got this tank, I thought, "This is quite the sexy little number (as far as climbing/yoga tops go)." Then I wore it around my boyfriend and he agreed. The back detail is his favorite part. I like the length and the color blocking (I got the magenta).
I got a small in this, as I do in most sport tanks (I'm a 34B), and while it works, it's a smidge tighter than I would have liked. Great top overall. I would definitely recommend it.

Arc'teryx Solita Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 8, 2011

First, I love the fabric this jacket is made out of. It is very soft and thick enough to be substantial without causing the wearer to overheat.
Second, I love the details. The extra tall collar is great when it's windy out, the back shoulder seams are cute, the thumb holes in the sleeves are perfectly placed and sized and the media pocket and headphone guide loops are helpful.
Third, it's multi-functional. Despite being a highly technical piece, it has enough style to be worn as a spring jacket.
The fit is right on. I'm pretty average/true medium (5'6", 135-ish) and the medium in this fits great.

Arc'teryx Rampart Long Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 June 8, 2011

With an almost 15" inseam, these are definitely LONG shorts (capris?). They fall just below the knee on me (I'm 5'6", 135-ish). I got the size 8 and they fit me well. I've got a little more in the butt/thigh area, but still find these to be flattering (probably due to the 6% lycra in the fabric). These shorts stand up well to hiking, biking, bbq-ing, and just hanging out. The only thing that has bugged me so far is the front pockets: it has been my experience that stuff falls out of them when I sit down. I started using the covered lower pocket, but it's kind of an annoyance to have a pocket and not be able to use it. Other than that, they're great!

I love my SmartWool socks and this pair is no different! I have had pairs of toe socks before (Injinji) and was super excited to find a wool version. These are a very classy take on aviators. The rose gold ones are so pretty and go with pretty much everything. They are a bit smaller than other unisex aviators out there, like the Smith Serpicos, which makes them better suited for a girl's face, in my opinion. I love these and keep them in my bag at all times.

CW-X Ventilator Web Top - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 May 4, 2011

While I enjoy the mesh panels and the idea of this top, I think I may have actually needed a smaller size to fully maximize the structural benefits. As it is, I don't feel like it helps with my posture, balance or motion and it does tend to ride up when I'm running. I think a smaller, more compression fit might have solved both of these problems. I'm 5'6. 135 and got a medium.

CW-X Versatx Support Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 4, 2011

This bra, true to it's advertising, is what many of us have been looking for: a bra that treats our boobs as individuals! The fact that it comes in bra sizing (not just XS-XL) makes the fit better than your average sports bra right off the bat. The back closure and adjustable straps (perhaps my favorite features) make it very easy to dial in the fit even more. I have a relatively small chest, but found the support level to be great for running. I would definitely recommend this bra.

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2011

I love this shirt! I can't say enough good things about it! It's really soft and light weight. What a great layering piece for wearing to and from the gym or to yoga classes. The light blue color is easy to match with the Lole Jump and Lole Fly tank tops. I would definitely recommend this. I find that it runs true to size. I usually wear mediums in tops and the medium fits me perfectly. Also, since it's a cotton blend, it didn't shrink at all when I washed it in warm and dried it on medium heat.

Lolë Jump Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 17, 2011

I have been looking forward to getting this tank for quite some time. I love the scuba blue print and I love the straps in the back. Unfortunately, when I put this on, I noticed the fabric was super thin and the bra was not very supportive. I realize it is designed for yoga, and it's pretty good for that, but it leaves little to the imagination when it is cold out or when you sweat. I still like it and plan on wearing it, but wish it were made of more substantial fabric.

Lolë Fly Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2011

I am always looking for sporty tank tops that have a little something different. This tank definitely fits the bill! The subtle, tonal pattern is cute, but not overbearing, the cris-cross straps in the back are fun and sexy. The length is perfect. The only drawbacks are the fact that the fabric is super thin (doesn't hide much when it's cold out or when you get sweaty) and the interior bra is not overly supportive. It's perfect for yoga, but I really like tops to be multi-taskers. Oh well, still a really cute top that I would highly recommend.

This is a really pretty top in the Purple Mosaic color. I like it so much that I've worn it as a casual tank under a hooded sweatshirt! It performs pretty well at the gym and in yoga class as well. My only complaint is that I think prAna changed their sizing. I have some tanks from a couple seasons ago (also in a small) and the fit on the shelf bra is much tighter/more supportive. I don't think I could run in this one...

These are great gloves. Definitely not big and bulky, these little guys live in my coat pockets and are pretty much my go-to gloves on a daily basis. They are stretchy, warm, and easy to throw in the wash after being worn on a run. NAU Cocoon Down Trench Coat - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2010

This coat is nothing short of amazing. I have been wanting a long down coat ever since I started working in Park City. I finally broke down and got one and am so glad I did! In addition to being the best wear to work coat (goes over everything, no longer need to wear base layers under my jeans and overheat in the office), but it also is a great coat to take to sporting events. I wore it outside for over 8 hours in 25 degrees temps and did not get cold (granted, I was wearing 2 other layers underneath it, but I was warm!)! This was a great investment for me and a welcome addition to my wardrobe. I feel like these run a little large. I got a small and it's perfect (I am 5'6", 135lbs).

Rating for this product: 5 November 10, 2010

As soon as it started getting cold outside and I started looking for sweaters, I found this one and it seemed like a no brainer. Beautiful color, great fit (flattering, close to body without being too tight), and merino wool! I also love the contrasting stripes around the collar and thumbloops. This sweater is really warm, easy to layer and goes with just about everything (jeans, cords, skirts, you name it!). I haven't used the pocket on the sleeve, but it might come in handy to hold a key, ID and credit card while hiking or snowshoeing in the coming months.

EMU Yanakie Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 10, 2010

My love affair with merino wool continues! I have been a wool enthusiast for years and my wardrobe already includes pieces from other big name brands. Most of those pieces, however, are of the base layer variety. This, on the other hand, is a beautiful, super soft, semi-sheer, low cut, sexy shirt that has enough style to stand on it's own. Combine the style with all the benefits of merino wool and you get the perfect shirt! It's long body and long arms add to it's versatility (layer or wear with skinny jeans!). I feel like the fit is fairly generous (I usually wear a medium- 5'6", 133lbs). I got this in a small and it's perfect. I am thrilled Emu has come along and brought some serious style to the wool scene!

I wear mine as both baselayer and leggings under long sweaters and tunics. The thing is, these aren't tight like traditional tights or leggings, so they do bag a little around the knees (no spandex in them). Other than that, I find them to be substantial enough to be worn on their own.

MPG Fleet Tank - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 5, 2010

This hot little number pairs beautifully with the Trixy shorts. This tank is amazing for several reasons: the super soft, stretchy fabric, the amazing color, the style, and the longer length. I read somewhere that these tops run small, so I ordered a medium. I think they fit pretty close to prAna, ie, for more support/control I should have gotten a small. The medium is still fairly body skimming and I was able to run comfortably in it (I've got a pretty small chest though), but think I'll get a small next time. The length of this tank is perfect and it keeps you covered while running, lifting and yoga. The slit across the chest is sexy and feminine, but not so open that you risk showing too much or falling out. Overall, I love this top and how I look and feel in it. Looking forward to trying more items from MPG.

MPG Trixy Running Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 5, 2010

First, let me start with a disclaimer: I do not normally wear short, tight shorts. That being said, these may be my new favorite gym shorts. The fabric is soft and stretchy, it doesn't pinch at the waist or around the thighs. They are snug enough that the legs don't roll or ride up (for the most part), but not so tight that they create bulges. I really tested these out by running (no chafing or riding up) and lifting (they slid up a little during lunges and squats, but honestly, what tight short doesn't?) and they performed wonderfully. The gray didn't even get obviously dark when I was sweating. I got the gray and blue ones and a coordinating tank top and am in love with how I look and feel in them! I'm 5'6" and about 135lbs and got the mediums.

NAU Flip Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 27, 2010

I have been wanting to add some linen pants to my wardrobe, but have always stopped short of actually buying them. Until now. I got these in the Metal color and love them. The waist has a drawstring, so it's easy to customize the fit. Since I think this style of casual pant looks best loose, I got mine in a size medium (I am 5'6", 130). I guess I haven't tried to do any "extreme body moves" as the other reviewer mentions, since I don't find these pants to be restrictive at all. I've worn them with tanks on the weekends and with nicer shirts to work. I have always gotten compliments on them. My favorite description I heard while wearing them was "billionaire beach pants". If you like the casual, effortless, summery look of linen pants, these could be for you.

KUHL Sierra Bermuda - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 25, 2010

These shorts are great! I have worn them everywhere this summer from hiking to mountain biking (they saved my legs from getting all scratched up on a nasty fall and didn't rip and all the red dirt and dust washed right out!) to just kicking it in the city. They are a longer length (I'm 5'6" and ordered a size up just to make sure I'd have room to wear them over biking shorts) and they hit me at the knee. I don't mind the flares at the bottom at all, I think they make it less restrictive when I'm hiking and biking. I would definitely recommend these as the go-to shorts for summer.

Kuhl Moda Ped Pants

KUHL Moda Ped Pant - Women's

KUHL Moda Ped Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 August 25, 2010

I like so many things about these pants. The fit is great (not to loose in the waist, not too tight in the leg, enough spandex for a tiny amount of stretch), the articulated knees make them great for hiking or biking around town, the blue color is different enough from denim blue but not obnoxious. The thing I didn't like about them is that they seem to get hot very easily. Like driving in my car, when the sun hit my legs directly, they seemed to start burning. It was weird. Another downside is that the fabric seems to attract dust and dirt. No matter what I was doing, they seemed to get dirty very quickly. Overall, I like them a lot and they hold a regular place in my pants rotation.

Horny Toad Gia Dress - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 August 19, 2010

I think this dress is a great little summer dress. It's very comfortable, has a cute fit, flattering neckline, and is a good length (hits me right above the knee). The straps are the only thing I'm not thrilled with. The puckering is cute, but makes them roll a little (mine don't lay flat on my shoulders) and the way they're cut and curved in on the chest shows a tiny bit of bra strap. Those are only tiny problems though, and really don't detract from the dress as a whole. I have a medium and it's perfect for me (I'm 5'6", 130lbs).

Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket - Special Edition - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 10, 2010

I cannot say enough good things about this jacket! I freakin' love it! It is so lightweight, the color is amazing, it's a perfect layering piece, I've gotten so many compliments on it already...should I keep going? It's packable, it's stylish, and it is made by my favorite brand! The nylon is a little bit see through, so you will be able to see the feathers, not that it's a bad thing or means it's poor quality, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up on that. I'm 5'6" and around 133lbs, pretty athletic build and the medium fits me well (i.e., room to layer underneath), but I probably could have gotten away with a small, especially if I was planning on layering this under a shell. This was produced in limited quantities this fall, so don't even think twice about it, just buy it!

Not sure I can add much more to what has already been said about these sunnis, but they are all that and more! Stylish, oversized, amazing optics. They don't have nosepads, so they will slip if you're trying to do anything incredibly athletic in them, but for the most part they fit the bill for just about every occasion.

Oakley Enduring Edge Sunglasses - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 27, 2010

These sunglasses are amazing! I refrained from participating in outdoor activities for many years because I wear hard contacts and was afraid I'd get something in my eye, take out my contact, have it blow away and not be able to see. These glasses have protected my eyes flawlessly for over a year whether I'm trail running, road riding, or mountain biking. I think a fleck of dust/grit made it's way past the lenses once, and that was on an especially windy day. Not only do the offer supreme coverage, they are also so light I sometimes forget I have them on. They are one of the most functional, hardest working pieces of gear I own. Highly recommended.

Rating for this product: 5 May 24, 2010

This headlamp is a great camping and hiking companion. I loved the multiple settings (low light settings are perfect for in tents and around your friends when you don't want to blind them, higher settings are great for illuminating more of the trail). I haven't taken this running yet, so I'm not sure how stable the battery pack will be, but I'm sure I'll find out on the Wasatch Back Relay in 3 weeks. I also appreciated the easy with which one can adjust the straps, it made lending it to friends a snap.

Oakley Lunar Tank - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 24, 2010

This tank is super cute. I really like the neckline and the drawstring around the bottom. The only problem is it is cut pretty deeply and doesn't cover a sports bra completely, so you have to coordinate your bra with the tank. But it is very cute, the material is very light, stretchy, and quick drying and it coordinates well with the other items in Oakley's active collection. I got a medium (5'6", 134lbs, 34b) and probably should have gotten a small.

Rating for this product: 5 May 24, 2010

What's not to love about these pants? I have a lot of black yoga pants, but these stand out for a couple reasons: the wide waistband is super comfortable and flattering, the pink stitching down the leg brings attention and visual interest to the length of the legs (and coordinates well with the tank tops in Oakley's active collection), and the material is super stretchy. I have the mediums and they fit me well (I'm 5'6", 134lbs).

Orage Amelia II Rain Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 20, 2010

SO CUTE! I have a Patagonia Torrentshell rain jacket that I love, but this one is every bit as functional (except this one doesn't have pit zips) and about 100x cuter! The longer length covers past my hips and the subtle stripe/herringbone pattern on the blue gives it some visual pop. The velcro cuffs are great and make getting it on and off over gloves or big watches a snap, it nips in at the waist for a more fitted look, and the hood stays on fairly well. This jacket is just a shell, so don't expect it to keep you warm, but it will keep you dry!

Icebreaker BodyFit150 Atlas T-Shirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 20, 2010

I have this shirt in both the black and aero colors. I purchased them to replace some expensive polyester performance tops that were starting to stink. I think I made the right choice! I wear these constantly! I wear them to the gym, as casual t-shirts, on camping trips, while biking/hiking/running, etc. The don't smell and they fit great. A note on these though: I have normally purchased Icebreaker tops in a size medium in the past as I used them as baselayers. I found sizing up to a large in this one made it fit more like a casual t instead of a body hugging layer. I'm 5'6" and about 134lbs.

Rating for this product: 4 May 20, 2010

What I love about this tank: the color, the style, the pleated back, the length.
What I don't love: the fit. I am usually a medium in everything, but since this is a bra top and I'm only a 34B, I should have gone down to a small to get the support I need. Since I only have experience with a medium, I can't comment on whether or not the fit of this shirt is actually slim or not.

Patagonia Simple Guide Softshell Pant- Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 4, 2010

I just got back from a mountain biking trip to Colorado where I practically lived in these pants for four days. Water and dirt brush right off, keeping them looking clean despite multiple days of use. The zippered pockets are amazingly useful for organizing things like hotel key cards, keys, phone, wallet, etc. I thought the weight and stretch of these pants was perfect for the 40-60 degree temps I wore them in and the gusseted crotch came in handy when hopping on and off demo bikes. I personally think these pants run on the large side. I'm 5'6", 134lbs and usually a 6-8 in most pants with a 10 sometimes thrown in depending on the brand and got these in a medium and they practically fall off of me. Good thing they have belt loops!

Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket

Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Women's

Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 21, 2010

This jacket is the first "real" rain jacket I have owned and I think it is great! A few things I would like to point out: there is no microfleece lining around the neck and chin, the entire jacket is made of the same 2.5 layer H2No material. The "hand warmer" pockets are just pockets lined with mesh, nothing really in there to keep your hands extra warm. This jacket is a simple shell, there is no insulation, so it will not keep you warm on it's own (it wasn't designed to be an insulating piece, hence the lower price point). It will keep you dry, it will look good, and it will last quite a while though, so if you're looking for a quality rain jacket, this could be the one for you.
A note on sizing: I think these jackets run a little on the big side. I am 5'6" and about 134lbs. I am usually a medium in everything, but could have sized down to a small in this. I have extra room in the arm length and overall length as well as extra room in the shoulders. I could def. fit a down sweater under it.

These pants are pretty cool. I like the color, the slits in the back, and the fold-over waistband, but they are NOT loose. If you look on the prAna website, it says they are fitted, and they are. I have two other pairs of relaxed fit prAna pants in size Medium and went with a Medium here, too, but they fit like tights above the knee. I'm 5'6", 130lbs, but I'm still not super excited about the lumps and bumps that show.

prAna Kaley Tunic Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 12, 2010

I love the style of this top. The contrasting patterns and longer length made this top stand out to me. The only thing is the sizing. All my other prAna tops are size smalls and they are very tight (I'm a 34B), so I thought I'd try sizing up to a medium. That was a bad idea. The top still fits, but it is not snug enough to offer meaningful support. Also, since it does kind of bell out at the bottom, it almost looks like a maternity top on me. It's fine for yoga and walking, but nothing higher impact than that.

Isis Henna Sports Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 26, 2010

Isis makes my favorite sports bras, hands down. I have sports bras from just about everyone (Champion, Adidas, Under Armour, CW-X), but my Isis ones are the ones I find myself reaching for time after time. They are soft, they are supportive, and they don't chafe anywhere during long, sweaty runs. I think the Henna bra is just plain fun: the colors and pattern make it stand out from other solid colored bras.

I/O Bio Merino Contact Crib Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 5, 2010

I am a huge fan of merino wool in general and this shirt has not let me down. I was a little nervous when I first got it and pulled it out of the box. The unique rib fabric make the shirt appear TINY, but is very stretchy. The stretch is a good thing and a bad thing: it gives the shirt a very flattering, streamlined fit, but it also becomes a little sheer when it is stretched across the chest. This shirt is definitely intended to be a layering piece, it is not substantial enough to wear on it's own. I love the purple color and find myself throwing it on under a hoody at least once a week. I love it with the I/O Bio Signature hood, since the purple color matches the purple embroidery on the hoody. I had no problem wearing a medium (which is my normal size. I'm 5'6, 130-ish).

I also find these shoes to fit true to size. I ordered 41.5's and they fit just like my 41.5's from Pearl Izumi, which is about a 9.5 in US sizes. I usually take a 9.5 to 10 (Asics and Nikes for running shoes), so I was pretty stoked when these fit.

So I got to see this top at a line showing last summer/fall and have been waiting for it to arrive since then. It was by far my favorite piece in the entire Isis line. Everything about this shirt is flattering: the boatneck neckline, the longer length, the color, the drapey fabric. This piece is a great go-to piece that is easy to dress up or down. Very easy to wear with yoga pant, jeans, or even dress pants. I find the fit to be true to size. I'm almost always a medium and the medium fits me well (I'm 5'6" and 135-ish).

X-Bionic Energizer T-Shirt - Long-sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2009

I've had this shirt for almost a year now and it is such an interesting and functional shirt. I am usually pretty skeptical of the claims of superior performance made by most clothing companies, but in the case of X-Bionic, I find the claims to be totally justified. The unique weave in the strategically placed positions really does seem to be able to pull moisture quickly to the surface to evaporate. I sweat a lot, so anything that doesn't end up drenched at the end of a run is pretty impressive in my book. This is my go-to winter running shirt (best under an Icebreaker 1/4 zip or my Salomon Azimuth jacket). The fit is body hugging without feeling restrictive, which makes it a perfect layer for other cold weather aerobic activities as well (I occasionally wear mine as a baselayer when snowboarding). I have the S/M and feel like it fits true to size (I'm 5'6" 130-135lbs).

Icebreaker GT150 Dash 1/2-Zip - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2009

Like my other Icebreaker pieces, this has quickly worked it's way into my regular work-out clothes rotation. The fit is not as tight as some of my other pieces (namely the Chakra 200 quarter zip), so the medium I have is perfect for layering over other shirts (I'm 5'6", 135lbs). This shirt looks fairly sheer out of the box, but is not too see thru once you put it on (although I would still recommend at least a tank under it). I have worn this trail running, cycling, and as a cover up after the gym. I love the strategically placed mesh panels, they make breathable wool even more functional! My only complaint is that I wish the hip pocket was zippered so that I didn't worry about losing my phone/gym card/gel. Overall, a winning piece that I would recommend.

November 9, 2009

It depends on what you plan on doing while wearing this jacket. Just standing around? Casual wear? Probably not (I wore mine over just a t-shirt to go shooting in 30-40 degree temps yesterday and was a little chilly after about 45 minutes). But if you're going to be running, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or something equally active, you'll be fine. This jacket really was built for more active pursuits (love the underarm stretch panels!), but with a shell could be just what your looking for in that temperature range.

I was kind of hesitant to get this jacket based on the flat picture above. I wasn't sold on the criss cross design, but I loved the blue color, so I decided to go for it. I'm so glad I did! I have barely taken it off since I got it. It is so light you almost forget you have it on. It moves with you very easily, is super warm, and is beautiful! The color is a deep, rich blue and the fabric has a bit of sheen to it. This jacket could very well become my everyday, go to jacket. I'm 5'6", 135ish and the medium is a little big on me, but I like being able to pull my hands in the sleeves and having room to layer.

This is a great summer tank! The color (looks fabulous with tanned skin), the convertible straps (multiple styles), and the fabric (moisture wicking, stretchy, drapey) make this a winner in my book. It may run a little big. I'm usually a medium (5'6", 130-135, 34b) and the small fits me perfectly. It isn't super fitted, but I wouldn't say it looks like a maternity top. I hadn't used any Nuun products before and got the "variety pack" to try them out. I think the flavors are ok (chai is my favorite) but since it is a little tablet, the water can be a little gritty. But they definitely do the trick. I used to cramp up for hours after long runs and rides but since drinking this combined with Clifbar shot bloks, my cramping has almost entirely disappeared. I like that they don't have the sugar or calories of other sports drinks and will continue using them.

Rating for this product: 5 June 23, 2009

I have to say, I was not super excited about getting briefs, but I hate running in my regular cotton underwear, so I decided to give some "performance underwear" a try. I wore these while running two legs of the Wasatch Back Relay under CW-X tights and I was so comfortable! The fabric is very soft, very light and very breathable. They also stay put (might have been held in place by the tights, but still). I think the other customer who wrote a review may have gotten the wrong pair because mine were definitely briefs and definitely true to size. I usually wear a medium (5'6", 135-ish) and the mediums fit me great.

Rating for this product: 5 June 3, 2009

This shirt is adorable! The fabric is so soft! I wore it to a bbq and almost all my friends commented on it. I also love the gathered sleeves, since they come up ever so slightly and show off my arms. The v-neck is great for showing off your favorite necklace. I definitely recommend this T.

Stonewear Designs Movin' Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 3, 2009

I was a little nervous/skeptical of a nylon/spandex short, but after wearing these for almost an entire weekend, I'm sold. The fabric is much more flexible and forgiving than I expected. The fit is great for my body type (athletic) and I find they fit true to size (I'm 5'6". 135 and usually wear an 8)-the 8's fit perfectly, if not a tiny bit loose, which is fine, I like my shorts to sit more on my hips. I haven't measured the inseam but I'm going to guess it's around 5" or 6", great length for bumming around or doing yardwork.

Stonewear Designs Lyra Sport Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 3, 2009

I have to agree with the positive reviews that have been posted thus far. I have this tank in the midnight color and it is a beautiful shade of purple. The fit is great: snug and supportive on top (ps the internal bra is not your typical shelf bra. This one is not sewn to the sides of the shirt, which is great since that means it stays put no matter how much you lift, bend, or twist) and a little looser/flared out towards the waist- very forgiving and very flattering. I've worn this top moving furniture, working around the house, and mowing my lawn and I can't wait to try it out in a yoga class. I'm a 34B and the small fits great.

Love everything about this bra: the material, the fit, the support, the color (I have the rose pink). I have worn this bra in the gym, on the trail, and while biking. It doesn't chafe at all, even during extended work outs. I'm a 34B and the medium fits great.

Arc'teryx Velox V Neck Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 15, 2009

The first thing I noticed when I put this shirt on was how ridiculously light it felt. It weighs next to nothing and breathes exceptionally well. As a self described gym rat, I run a lot on a treadmill, but this shirt stayed light even when drenched with sweat. I've also worn it cycling and running outside and it has performed admirably in all situations. I have a medium, it's a tad too big. I'm 5'6", 130-135-ish.

CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack

CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 13, 2009

I'm not going to lie, this is bigger than I expected/originally wanted. I also don't read product descriptions very thoroughly because I didn't notice that this pack has an INSULATED SLEEVE AND TUBE. It turns out neither the size nor the extra insulation are bad things. In fact, I have been very happy to have my beverage of choice remain refreshingly cold on 2 hour+ bike rides. The extra pockets are tremendously useful for snacks and an extra layer. The main drawbacks in my opinion are all the straps and the length of the straps. They do come with little velcro ties to keep the excess in check, but it's still kind of weird. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.

GoLite Calamity Jane Skirt

GoLite Calamity Jane Skirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 April 23, 2009

This skirt is def. like running in a mini skirt. Out of the bag, it's a little static-y and not super flattering, after running for a bit it seems to mellow out. As I mentioned in an answer to a question below, the built in shorts do seem to ride/roll up if you're doing anything besides running, which makes this skirt not ideal for the gym. I'll still keep wearing it because it is flirty and functional when running, but there's definitely some room for improvement.

GoLite DriMove C/B Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 23, 2009

I got this shirt and pretty much love it. It has a great fit and the contrast hems and design on the side make it different from my other gym shirts. I don't esp. love the wider neckline, as my sports bra straps show, but other than that, no complaints. I'm 5'6", 130-135lbs and got a small.

Patagonia Morning Glory Dress - Women's

April 22, 2009

I have this dress in a medium and think it's great. I'm about your size, 5'6", 130-135 ish, 34a/b...it's not super low. I feel comfortable leaning over in it, not afraid of exposing the girls at all.

Arc'teryx Easyrider Insulated Softshell Jacket

Arc'teryx Easyrider Insulated Softshell Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Easyrider Insulated Softshell Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 22, 2009

This jacket is everything I ever wanted in a softshell. The Polartec Power Shield shell does an amazing job of blocking the wind while the soft, fuzzy, fleece interior adds enough warmth and thickness to give this jacket a substantial feel. I have worn this jacket on its own and layered. I think it is thick and warm enough to just need a shell, layering it under something like down or another insulated jacket would probably be overkill (although it depends on where you're going and what you'll be using it for). The drop tail in the back is a really nice feature, keeping you covered when you reach and bend. As for sizing, I got a medium (5'6", 135lbs) but think I would get a small if I was planning on layering this under a tech shell, it doesn't seem to be as tight as some other Arc'teryx pieces.

Mountain Hardwear Epic Pant

Mountain Hardwear Epic Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 22, 2009

They're rain pants, so I don't love them, but they fit well, are light weight and kept me dry on a bike trip where it rained for a couple days. The elastic is not super flattering, but it keeps the moisture out and makes these pants easy to get on and off over whatever else you're wearing. I am 5'6" 135lbs and got the mediums, which fit great over sweatpants or jeans, could have gone with a small if I was just planning on having baselayers or tights underneath.

GoLite Calamity Jane Skirt - Women's

April 21, 2009

I found that the shorts rode up while I was trying to do athletic activities besides running...so during biking and lifting weights, they definitely ended up in little rolls.
