Sea to Summit says nothing about it being anti-bacterial, and I can vouch that it does get sort of stinky after several uses without proper drying. Then again I used it in the tropics where it never really dried.

I found that it worked a little better after I washed it. Probably not necessary, but for better performance I would.

I like this boot

Alpina ST 10 Touring Boot

I have read several not-so-good reviews about this boot and I think it depends on the individual. I have large (size 13), skinny feet and have used this boot for the last couple of years and it is great. They are super warm and durable. I think if you're looking for a good boot for a large foot at a great price, then this is the boot.
