Freakin' great shoes

La Sportiva Fireblade Trail Running Shoe - Men's

La Sportiva Fireblade Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2008

I've been using these shoes for about a month now and I gotta say they are fantastic. I have been running on road, trails, beach, and rocks. The traction holds up great and even after accidentally getting hit by a wave from the Sea they dried out quickly (while running) and still run like new. The laces may be shorter than most but it cuts down on unnecessary weight as you can still easily tie them either bow or double-knotted.

Petzl Spatha Knife

Petzl Spatha Knife

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2008

the blade on the short knife is just great. The little serrations are done a little differently from most other knives I've used but I'd say it's an improvement from traditional knives. Love this knife.

These sandals suck

Ocean Minded Grass Roots Sandals - Men's

Ocean Minded Grass Roots Sandals - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 October 28, 2008

I've had these sandals for about two months now. First of all it took about two weeks of on and off use to get my feet used to these sandals. I've honestly never had to break flops in before this. Not quite a month of daily use turned the tops of the sandals into shreds. I still can't believe they ripped up so fast. The tred is good but cloth just falls apart. Also, the straps are for people with abnormally large feet. I'm not a fan.

It is really light

Sherpa Adventure Gear Thamel Packable 2.5 Layer Jacket - Men's

Sherpa Adventure Gear Thamel Packable 2.5 Layer Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 September 30, 2008

OK, I'm updating my past review. I've been through some intense rain with this jacket and have found that it likes to soak in water along the seams, especially in the cuffs and the waist of the jacket where drink seems to gather. I'm not too sure how long it normally takes a rain jacket to dry but this one has taken more than 8 hours after a heavy storm (and that's when it was being hung out, in humid weather). I've checked my seams and have found that they are inconsistant. Oh, and when in heavy rain the hood also drips water down into the neck when it's pulled tight. It is really light though. I'd say it's a decent 40 dollar jacket.

Really light

Sherpa Adventure Gear Thamel Packable 2.5 Layer Jacket - Men's

Sherpa Adventure Gear Thamel Packable 2.5 Layer Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 22, 2008

This jacket is really light and works great for keeping water off. I've been using this for about a month in Guam and it rains here nearly every day from downpour to light drizzle this thing keeps my upper body really dry. However, my pocket seam did come undone recently. But I bet it's just a defect in the jacket I got.
