East Coast Ski

Salomon Suspect Ski

Salomon Suspect Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2012

I have these in the 183 with a FKS 18 on it and they are my second favorite ski for the east. The first would be a carving ski which isn't the same category. These are stiff enough carve up an icy halfpipe wall, carve like a maniac on your way down a blue ice slope, but still playful enough you can pop off anything and land squarely with out issue.

Great Gear

Marker Jester Ski Binding

Marker Jester Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2012

I have two sets of these. One on my 185 Chopstick the other on my 186 Gotama. I have a set of the Pro's to go on my Shiro just haven't mounted them up yet. Only other binding I would ever use is the FKS which is on my skinny ski's. The extra with of the jester combined with the high dins make this a great binding for wider skis because it transfers energy so well! Been riding the same bindings since 2007 when they originally came out and have absolutely no complaints.

Patagonia Black Hole Duffel Bag 60 - 3661cu in

Patagonia Black Hole Duffel Bag 60 - 3661cu in

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2012

I bought this to leave in the truck with all my gear. It is a little smaller than Id like but the 90L is to big. I can find an extra layer top and bottom, boots size 26.0 Lange RC130's, my Arcteryx micon pant and jacket which have a little loft. deoderant, two sets of goggles, hestra vertical cut freerides and spring gloves. Squeezing in my stash kit, two extra sets of socks and I'm ready to go!

3rd Pair!

Pow Gloves Shocker Glove

Pow Gloves Shocker Glove

Rating for this product: 5 January 25, 2012

I have had three pair of these since they first came out in 2006. They last about 3 years before you start putting your fingers through the ends. I probably skied a total of 150 days on these gloves and used them every day to and from work. Great thin glove for doing everything!

Flannel Design Maybe

Horny Toad Vanquish Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Horny Toad Vanquish Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 January 25, 2012

I bought two of these shirts for wearing around the house, running errands and even wearing up to the mountains under my jacket. They however are paper thing and not what I was expecting at all. They seem comfy but aren't a shirt to wear out and about in the Pittsburgh winters. Still on the hunt for a heavy weight flannel to wear outside as a flannel!

Not what expected

Marmot Drift Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Marmot Drift Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 January 25, 2012

I was looking for a flannel shirt, this is by no means a flannel. It is paper thin and feels like you aren't wearing anything. I was extremely disappointed!!

Oakley AirBrake Goggle

^ I would suggest a pair of Smith's with a turbo fan. They usually work wonders.

Trying to Replicate

Volkl Chopstick Alpine Ski

Volkl Chopstick Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2012

Best ski I have ever owned hands down I am trying to find a replacement for my prototype 185's but can't find anything. I have even been talking to folsum on having a set made for but it will run me around 2grand. Maybe I should just wait and order a new pair for next season.

I have the 185 and last years 175, wish I would have bought 185's last year because the 175 is just to damn small. Im 5'8 185 26.0 boot. I ran jesters, and dukes on them and much prefer jesters.
