Stoic Merino 150 Bliss Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Stoic Merino 150 Bliss Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 25, 2010

I wear this shirt on my mtn bike in all kinds of weather. 96F here today and it felt comfy during my 2 hr lunch ride over green mtn. It feels good under my camel, absorbs sweat and evaps quickly, and only smells like a wet goat when the wind is right. I gave up on those plasticky bike jerseys, this is my new favorite.

After the first wash it shrunk funny and was wrinkly, but it still fits right so I don't care. I am 220lbs 48" chest, and wear the xl, just like your mom.

Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad

Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2010

I have been skiing in these for five years. They will fit on either leg, but I like to keep the buckles on the outside. I pulled a high speed knee-dipping turn in some steep bumps that brought my knee in contact with an unseen rock. besides the sudden jolt and the ringing in my ears, my knee-pad plastic shell cracked! I believe I would have shattered my knee-cap without these pads. I immediately bought another pair and will not ski without them. I also started using these on my snowboard. Snowboarders are always kneeling in the snow, why don't they use knee pads?

Scarpa T1 Telemark Ski Boot

Scarpa T1 Telemark Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2010

After I finally tweaked the fit (with help from alpenglow) these boots make my feet happy. No longer do my toenails turn black, no longer do I dread turning right. This is my third pair of T-1's and were the hardest to get right. but boy-o-boy are they right now!

binder for all my needs

G3 Targa T/9 Telemark Ski Binding

G3 Targa T/9 Telemark Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2010

I put this on all my skis. it's stiff enough for mary-jane bumps and ripping down berthoud pass chutes, and light enough for the hike back up. I have never had a problem with either the aluminum or SS toe plate, and I'll buy either one. I frequently stomp on the heel plate and break it, and I broke a cable once, but only after heavy and prolonged abuse. I'm shaped like a hairless gorilla and this binder has done anything I've asked of it. I ride the xmountain cartridges.

CW-X Insulator Expert Tight - Men's

CW-X Insulator Expert Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2010

I couldn't find these for a few days of early season cold weather skiing and I missed them bad. I found them in my dry-suit bag. I wear these under my dry-suit for cold-water scuba diving and had left them there after the last ice-dives I made. The material slides inside the dry-suit and inside my fly-low pants so it never gets bunched or bound. The xl's fit my 36" belly a little loose, but are tight around my mountain biking tele-turning stumpsized quads. they say light-weight insulation but I never have gotten cold with them. yet.

Stoic Welder Glove

Stoic Welder Glove

Rating for this product: 4 January 4, 2010

these gloves are everything... tough, warm, easy to use. I like the wool insides and the goat skin leather (Mike says it's the only leather that thorns won't penetrate). I like these better than the black diamond guide gloves I have, but what's up with the RED stripe across the back and the RED leather palm? can't you make it in plain old BLACK like everyone else?

Marmot Power Stretch Full-Zip Fleece Jacket - Men's

Marmot Power Stretch Full-Zip Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 8, 2009

I got this jacket to layer under my softshell and it quickly became part of my kit. It is the best fitting xl-fleece I have ever thrown over my 6' 210# bulk... nice long sleeves without the tentlike fit. And the powerstretch material isn't matted in dog hair like everything else I own. yet.

Pro-tec B2 Snow Helmet - Audio

Pro-tec B2 Snow Helmet - Audio

Rating for this product: 5 March 11, 2009

I tried on about every snow helmet in the universe before stumbling upon the pro-tec B-2 snow. It snaps on my head like tupperware keeping my melon fresh. Pro-tec is the only one designed for multi-impact. The ear pad thing fits in my pocket as the day warms up, and the goggle keeper strap holds them just right. But I can't find a replacement audio-force ear-pad anywhere. Hard to come buy is an understatement, jack.

Fox Commando Bike Jersey - Half-Sleeve - Men's

Fox Commando Bike Jersey - Half-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 March 10, 2009

everything would be perfect if they would've left the iron-on logo off the backside. it's alot bigger than you can see in the pictures and makes the shirt stiff and sweaty back there. Sizing seemed on the smaller side. Order one-up if you're between sizies.

Doin' something right

Rossignol Scratch Scream 'in Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2009

50 days telemarking on these skis and they still have plenty-o-pop. They are stable and quick through tight trees, groomers, steeps, and bumps. They don't float like my sick-birds, but I'm kinda lardy. I must be doing something right... adam called me a jerk.

I got mine from steepandcheap for $200 but they sent me two left skis. or two leftover skis. at least they are the same length.

Rossignol Scratch Scream 'in Alpine Ski

February 2, 2009

Two Left FeetI bought these skis from backcountry and was sent two left skis. I didn't notice until I drilled them and put on tele bindings. Obviously, the serial numbers don't match. Do you guys at backcountry have my two right skis?
