CamelBak Better Bottle w/ Bite Valve - 1L

Rating for this product: 4 May 31, 2009

The kickin bite valve lets you slurp on the move without taking a bath like with nalgene bottles. though it would be nice if it was closer to the same dimensions as my 1L nalgenes (it's taller and thinner). I wish it had BPA in it too O_o

Rating for this product: 5 May 31, 2009

I've got the military model of the Bora. Same thing just made with heavy duty fabric and has MOLLE straps everywhere. But I digress, the suspension system is super comfy and enough room to hold your emergency barcalounger and more.

Rating for this product: 4 May 30, 2009

Groovy little tent. this thing has ample room for my 69" 175lbs frame and the cool little cubby next to the head lets you play with your GI Joes while you wait out the rain. Its just too bad that it's not freestanding.

Oakley Whisker Polarized Sunglasses - Men's

Oakley Whisker Polarized Sunglasses - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 30, 2009

I've got the polarized whiskers and they are the sweetest shades I've ever owned. They are feather light, stylin, feel great, and the polarized lenses let you see the world in a new perspective. The only down side is that they are stupid expensive, even the polarized lenses are like $80 a pair O_o. So if you've got the dough to throw down on some NICE shades these are the way to go.

Oakley M Frame Strike Sunglasses

Oakley M Frame Strike Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 1 May 30, 2009

The Army issued these in Iraq. I used mine for about 2.6 seconds, then went with some ESS CDI frames (which are absolutely boss). They don't breath causing the lenses to fog, on the older models the lenses are a pain in the ass to change, not to mention that the lenses are HUGE making you carry around that even bigger case, so that you don't break or scratch the lenses. Not worth it for the money.

Flame Thrower

MSR WhisperLite International Multi-Fuel Stove

MSR WhisperLite International Multi-Fuel Stove

Rating for this product: 5 May 30, 2009

I've had my WhisperLite International for a year now and I've used every fuel that I can think of in it and it burns it all just the same. Not a single problem has arose. I've used it to cook food, sterilize water, melt snow, and warm my cold tootsies on those frigid nights. I recently gave it to my brother so that I can upgrade to the XGK EX. The only gripes that I have are that you can't control the flame intensity, making it interesting when you just want to make something warm instead of blisteringly hot, and you absolutely need the wind screen or it will blow out.

Therm-a-Rest Therm-a-Rest ToughSkin Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Therm-a-Rest ToughSkin Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 May 30, 2009

I'm used to those cheap puss-pads we use in the Army, so when I got out I decided to splurge a bit and bought the regular size ToughSkin. This thing is so comfy that I sometimes actually use it in my own home instead of my mattress. The tough exterior is a big PLUS, since I am very unforgiving with my gear. I strap it to the side of my ruck and throw it around and it is still good as new. If I ever have to sleep on broken glass or a bed of nails I will be able to sleep cozy and confident with my ToughSkin. Great Job Therm-a-Rest!
