I bought these to go hiking in the North-eastern US. I found them to be more than adequate except when going back down the mountain, the lacing doesn't give enough support to keep your feet from sliding to the front, so my toes were a bit squenched, so I had to take breaks and tighten the laces. That is my only complaint though, they are amazing shoes! I just need to learn to make a tighter knot :)

o yeah, and they fit true to size for me, I tried on a few different sizes and I bought the ones that were true to size
