Burton Smallz 1pc Suit - Boys'

May 27, 2009

you'll have to check out the Burton website, but it has to do with fit (baggy vs. slim fit vs. park fit (crazy baggy)...), and the way the garment will look when worn.

Runs Really BIG

Burton Expedition Weight 1/4-Zip Top - Women's

Burton Expedition Weight 1/4-Zip Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 14, 2009

I had to return/exchange this top a few times...normally I am a medium but wow...about three of me could have fit in the medium. Ended up with a small. And they don't all seem to be the same size...got two smalls, one was still way too big. Anyway, if you get one that fits, you'll be snug as a bug in a rug!

WARM

Burton Polka Square Sock - Women's

Burton Polka Square Sock - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 14, 2009

I have...seriously...at least eight pairs of these socks. They are probably the warmest socks I own despite having thicker, supposedly warmer burton ones. May be a result of the fact that they are the perfect amount of thickness for inside a boot? Anyway, GET THEM. You will fall in love.

Looks great...didn't really keep me dry!

Burton Fly Pant - Women's

Burton Fly Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 May 14, 2009

I have these in the black. They look great but honestly? If you want to stay dry or want to be able to spend a full day on the slopes, these aren't going to keep you very try, which was somewhat disappointing.

Burton Mighty Pant - Women's

May 14, 2009

They are normal inseam as far as Burton goes. This year they made their sig fit slightly longer to make them more stylish. I am 5'7" and these pants in size Medium were PLENTY long...as in, would have dragged in the parking lot.

Didn't Like the Fabric

Burton Mighty Pant - Women's

Burton Mighty Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 May 14, 2009

The pants had all the right features, but I ended up sending them back because the fabric was thick and textured whereas I like board pants that have smooth, thinner fabric such as gore-tex. The design was cool, though, and other than the fabric, I would have kept them. Sizing seems relatively normal on them as far as Burton goes.

Room for Socks!

Burton Midweight Pant - Women's

Burton Midweight Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 14, 2009

These have plenty of room for socks...I ordered smalls and am 5 ft 7 in and they fit perfectly. The waistband is a bit loser than I'd like so shirts dont stay tucked in...but such is life. Also, if you don't want them to get little lint balls, hang dry them! Otherwise, these are a great and affordable base layer, and I definitely would recommend them.

Burton Midweight Shant - Women's

Burton Midweight Shant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 14, 2009

I love these. In fact I could PROBABLY live in them. I'm 5 foot 7 in, 125 lbs and ordered the SMALLs which fit perfectly. One important factor to keep in mind is that you should NOT dry these in the dryer. They will got tons of little lint balls -- not so cute! if you hang dry them, they retain their shape but don't get the little lint balls that are oh so annoying. I definitely still recommend getting these.

Burton Expedition Weight Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 14, 2009

I am 5 foot 7 inches and usually wear a size 4 in jeans. I weigh 125 and I ordered the size small which fit perfectly. These are super soft and feel very, very warm and will be a base layer for the coldest of days. If you get cold often, cozy up in these!

Burton Feelgood Snowboard - Women's

May 13, 2009

You also might need to detune your nose and tail! The biggest issue I had with my feelgood sounds very similar to what you have described. Detuning the nose and tail can be done at most shops or if you have a heavy metal file you can do it yourself but pushing the file straight down over the nose and tail portions of the board to where the effective edge begins. This should help :) Since you don't know what you're doing, try youtubing it to see if there is a video that explains this, or I am sure you can find something on google. Little known fact is that when the factory edges your board, it is extremely sharp and thus very easy to catch edges until they naturally detune over time :)

Great All Mountain, Sucks in the Park!

Burton Feelgood Snowboard - Women's

Burton Feelgood Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 13, 2009

This board is excellent for all mountain riding, however when it comes to riding in the park, it is way too stiff to really grab rails. The directional shape also makes riding switch far more difficult. It's great in powder, though. The board is also pretty difficult to butter because of how stiff it is. If you're a girl that likes to play, I would recommend finding a softer board. =)

Warm, But Fit is Off

Under Armour Base 2.0 Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Under Armour Base 2.0 Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 May 10, 2009

I am 5'7", 125 lbs. I usually wear a size small-medium in all tops. I got the medium in this top. It fit great through the arms and body but it was too short for my torso. It is warm, so I kept it, but have to have a base layer pant to go with this top that comes up much higher just so it doesn't come untucked when I am snowboarding. The shirt hits at the top of the hip rather than coming down at all. A fitting note: this shirt is supposed to hug your skin because that is what will allow it to wick moisture...not always the most flattering fit but it is what it is to get the job done! After maybe 10 washes, the inside of the shirt started to "pill", but it hasn't seemingly affected performance. I personally feel there are less expensive shirts out there that do the same job just as well.

Well Made Pack

DAKINE Heli Pro Backpack - Women's - 1200cu in

DAKINE Heli Pro Backpack - Women's - 1200cu in

Rating for this product: 5 April 25, 2009

This pack is very well made and seems like it will hold up to quite a bit of abuse. I have the black paris color and its mucho fun. When all strapped up properly it puts minimal stress on your back just like it should, even with a board and gear all piled in it. The hydration sleeve is also a huge plus =) Overall you can't go wrong with this pack.

True to Size

Burton AK Static 3L Pant - Women's

Burton AK Static 3L Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 24, 2009

I have these pants in the red and in the green stripe. They are GREAT. They genuinely keep you dry, even in the sloppy spring conditions, and are actually LONG enough ( I have a problem with snowboarding pants being far shorter than I would like ). I'm 5'7", 125 lbs, usually a size 4/6 in jeans and got MEDIUMS. I actually would have been fine with a small but I like to wear my pants a little loose when I board. I definitely would recommend these. They are worth the $$ and will make you oh-so-happy. =)

ORDER YOUR NORMAL SNEAKER SIZE

Burton Supreme Heat Snowboard Boot - Women's

Burton Supreme Heat Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 20, 2009

I can't stress enough that you should go with your NORMAL shoe size...whatever you'd wear for tennis shoes (not heels). They will be snug, uncomfortable, and will probably make you want to cry if you hit up the hill the first day without having worn the boots around your apartment/house to break them in, and will still be very snug the first few days you ride them. HOWEVER, once they "pack out", the boots become like toasty little yummy foot huggers that hold you to your board in the most responsive way possible. You are going to have to suffer through the first few days but if you get a size that is comfortable from the get go, they will also pack out and be HUGE. I have two pairs of these boots and absolutely adore them. I have fairly normal feet but long toes and my toes never feel smooshed. Plenty of toe room once they pack out :)

Great Baselayer

Burton Midweight Pant - Women's

Burton Midweight Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 20, 2009

I usually wear a size 4-6 in jeans from American Eagle. I ordered these pants in a size small. They are definitely snug, but in my opinion that is how a base layer should fit. They go down to right above the ankle and are designed to go inside your boot when you wear them, so if you don't like that, I would recommend going with the "shant" version of these because those will not go into your boot. The only thing is that I wish they went up a little higher on the waist...as I like to tuck whatever top baselayer I'm wearing into the bottoms. Other than that, no complaints and I would buy them again.

Size DOWN!

Oakley Chamber Pant - Women's

Oakley Chamber Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 13, 2009

I caved and ordered these pants in a size SMALL after having ordered a medium before (had to return them cuz they were too big), despite usually being a medium in all boarding pants. The small fit well, although be warned that they say they are baggy/loose fit, and they do mean it. If you size down/go with the sizing chart provided, the pants should fit fine, and they have excellent construction. Definitely recommended!

Oakley Chamber Pant - Women's

Oakley Chamber Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 February 27, 2009

I am typically a size M in all women's snowboarding pants, so I figured the same would be true of these. I ordered the vivid blue in a size M. When they got to my house I was quite sad...they were GARGANTUAN. Not only was the waist extremely big, the legs were like...pontoons or something equally as unflattering. The color is also not as shown...its more of a bit darker, like you might expect if you got the above color sopping wet. That being said, the fabric had a great feel and had they actually fit they might have been cute. I'm still debating if I want to go through the effort of reordering a size S to see if they fit better. Before you buy these, PLEASE check the sizing chart. They really do run big...like big enough to fit your sister in with you too, so you might want to size down.
