I tele skied my whole life until last winter when I destroyed my lower leg. This could have been avoided by having a releasable binding but I always felt that the releasable tele bindings were too much of a compromise in weight. So....after much inner turmoil I bought my first set of Dynafits and all I can say is WOW! Incredibly durable and easy to use once you get used to them which doesn't take long. I ski hard as hell and these things feel bomber all the time. They've only released once but it was at a time when I needed it. For any tele tourers who are worried about losing the comfort of a bellow on the up....buy a Scarpa boot with a bellow like the F3 or F1. The feel is even better than a free pivot tele binding. I said I would never be turned to AT gear but I have to say that this binding is an engineering marvel. If you're a serious ski tourer who loves light, bomber gear its a must.

I bought these for rando racing ski-mountaineering and they're great for both. Incredibly stable for how little they are. They shine on steep, icy, descents when you need the edge to bite and hold. The skin system is smart and holds well. Kind of a specialized ski but if you want to fly uphill in a weekend race or you want to feel confident on those first few turns in a steep, icy, couloir....these are great.

Took me a while to buy into the avalung idea but I finally did. Hopefully won't have to find out first-hand if it actually works! I like this pack in terms of configuration and ski-mounting. The only thing I don't like about it is that it flops around a big on my back when fully loaded. I have other packs that hug my back a lot better and feel more stable when I'm moving. Overall, I would recommend this for a safe, user friendly day pack. Peace.

I'm on my 4th pair of Wings (I love the feel of this shoe) but I have to admit that the laces in the last couple of pairs sucked. I replaced the laces in the last pair twice and I just replaced the laces in my newest pair yesterday and they are only about a month old! The laces are a pain in the rump to replace and it can't be done easily in the field. In addition, unless you have a really cool retailer who will hook you up, the lace kits cost about $10CAN. I hear the models with plastic lace guides are better. If I have to change these laces again within an unreasonable timeframe I'll be changing models or going back to Montrail.

Wrote a review raving about this watch and I do like it. However, mine fogged over yesterday and the moisture hasn't cleared! The watch is still working but I can't read it because the inside of the face is completely fogged over. I realize the weather's a changing and its gettin colder on my morning runs but what's the point in spending $400 on a watch that can't handle temp fluctuations and stay moisture free? I bought the watch in May so it shouldn't be a gasket issue yet, haven't changed the battery, and I don't swim so not sure how the moisture got in. I do wear it in the shower and stuff but that shouldn't be a problem. I'm sending mine back

Great watch. After a year, I've never had a single problem with any aspect of the watch. The major thing I want to mention is the durability of the face. I usually beat the hell out of my watches and can't read them after 6 months and I am constantly amazed with the direct hits this watch-face takes yet still resists scratching. The only thing I was pissed about was the serial port on the PC interface cable. A little something called USB Suunto.... now I gotta break out the Commodore 64 to upload my training data (or buy an adapter).
