First glance i thought there was no way this thing was gonna dry me off and if it did wasn't gonna feel too good doing it ... I was "WRONG" ... This thing is ULTRAlight ... ULTRAthin, highly packable and is really very soft ... Water squeezes out to almost nothing, a slight damp feeling ... dries very quick .... This is yet another great product from MSR.

Been using this pad now for a few weeks ... At times i miss my old prolite 4, but with some practice this pad can get the job done very well, 2 1/2 inches thick, but with little to no support .. like a pool float or regular air mattress ... Its the vertical beams that cause the dip when weight is put in a general single area ... Like others have said, took me about 15/17 breathes to inflate ... allow air to evaporate from temp changes, and before ya go to bed .. add 2-3 good puffs of air or till firm ... Lay down inside the bag and release air slowly, when you get that cozy but firm, don't sleep slumped, your back will hate you in the morning ... Will little practice i found my air levels and got used to the bounce from a no foam pad ... I don't miss my pl4 much nowadays cept for winter use ... One star off because it can be hard to find the gel comfort but with little practice and $50 .. this should not be the one peice you leave home ... no foam can compare.

When you first get your TRCP you'll notice its compressed into shape as you would as if you were gonna pack it .... Its stored and shipped this way, so you must expand the pillow and fluff and allow 15-30 minutes for it to fully refluff ... Even on the tag is displays this, as well as cleaning instructions ... The pillow holds loft amazingly over night and is so soft you'll be asleep before you find a fault to it ... A good 3 1/2 to 4" loft ... I got the 12oz large ... my pillow is my number one priorty for sleeping ... You can't go wrong with this pillow, medium or large.

Yup, whoohoo ... its another water bottle ... I normally just grab a gatorade bottle cleaned out but i picked a pair of these up for the widemouth and loop lid ... The lid screws on just fine, doesn't leak ... i tried ... I was curious how impact resistant it really was and drop'd it from standing height to simulate a trip and drop of the bottle ... about 5-6 times and even angled the bottle's bottom to the tile ... Good as new, no cracks or chips ... The best feature ... it holds water! Go figure.

This shirt here is simply a winner, Its so light, breaths so well that unless its a 90 degree day, you might just get chilly .... I absolutely love this years UA Wylie ... Compared to past shirts, i want more than i need cause this shirt is that good .... You'll be in bliss, its almost like not wearing a shirt ... But unlike wearing a shirt, this one will keep those sun rays off you as its rated 35+ i believe ... might be 30+ ... site doesn't say, but the tags on the shirt do.

Not much to say about boxers, but these here ... are amazing ... mesh front pocket setup keeps my stuff from getting all nasty like everyone else has rated, the material is a serious thin but quality contruction that helps keep me from getting chaffed on long hot days, dries insanely fast ... I won't use anything else backpacking ... and even ordering more to simply wear around the house ... they are that good ... Another note, they remain tight after days of use and unlike one person said ... they don't retain odor ...

I've yet to find an issue with these, I have a size 13 ... the XL remain tight ... not maxed even after a few days of constant wear ... I got the 3 pack and swap sock while hiking to keep them dry ... they dry fast, have nice cushion for a lightweight and the mesh materials breath well .... you can feel the wind cut right thro um ... I'll be looking to buy more pairs when i wear these out ... Excellent sock.

I bought the vest at first in the reactor series .... i loved it, decided i wanted the same light option, but with sleeves for early spring and late fall ... Wind does rip right thro it, but as under a wind shirt or rain/wind shell .... its a perfect light fleece option, pockets and an inner pocket for ipod/mp3 ... I'd buy it again and trust marmot's quality ... I own several pair's of their clothing and never returned an item.

Excellent boot, I use it for backpacking and hiking .... They are very comfy, snugg and hold off water very well .... Upper is stiff enough for ample ankle support and the vibram sole offers very good non-slip protection on wet rocks and ground ... Toe box offers wiggle room and doesn't feel like your wraped in duct tape ... My only complaint which is well known with GOR-TEX boots is that they don't breath as well as i'd like ... If you remove them every 4-5 hours hiking with a good pair of merino socks you'll be just fine ... A 31 hour bus trip caused my feet to turn alittle white ... Overall, Excellent boot for wet weather travel.

I bought this bag for spring/fall .... Its insanely light at 1 lb 6 ounces ... I'm 6'3 and alittle bigger than the last poster at 245 and felt great, the S.S pulls the down in, but allows it to keep its loft ... Its kept me warm down to its rated 35 degree's with a 100 fleece and beenie .. it does push the limits and wouldn't go below 35 ... but its soft, incredible compression ... down to the width of a soda can just about and comes with a nice sack and storage sack for when your home and not using the bag .... never EVER, store down in a compression sack for extended periods of time ... I will without a doubt buy another montbell bag ... They simply rock.

Picked this tent up at an insane deal ... Setting it up was very easy if you've ever worked with a X frame tent, you simply place one end into each end of the tent diagnal and lift the tent body clips and attach to poles ... Very quick, 1-2 minutes ... The inside is nice and bright front the optic white canopy, the mesh is great, but it is tight so air doesn't flow through it very well unless its windy .... Keeping the front door open some is best for flow of ventilation ... The door on this tent is by far my favorite feature ... i'm tall, 6'4 and getting out of tents is torture for me ... NOT anymore, the full side of this tent can open up and be tucked into its on pocket on the side of the interior ... very nice feature ... the vestibule is good enough for my pack laying down on some sort of tarp/ground cloth ... on the smaller side, but i like it quite alot ... The rain fly on this is very nice also as its full adjustable with tension straps ... i like this also ... I normally HATE stakes that are included but the ones provided by sierra are keepers ... I had this tent setup and gave it the GARDEN HOSE test as i've not had the chance to be in it in the rain yet, but it held up under garden hose rain for 15-20 and with my friend sitting inside for breathing/condinsation testing it passed with FLYING colors .... Only real time in the backcountry will define the tent, but i don't see if being any different than the tests run in my own backyard .... Excellent tent, Specially if you find it on sale!

I've owned this pack now personally for over a year ... I absolutely love it for the price i paid ... its 3 lbs 9 ounces and holds 5000cu which i think is pushing is once you add in your 2 or 3 litter bladder, but still .. i carry my 4 lb tent, sleeping bag and pad .. and everything else i need for a week+ in this badboy and it rides comfy ... It will start to strain around 40-42 lbs, so i like to keep my loads no more than 35-37 lbs which isn't hard to do with today's light gear. Mesh pocket is great for snack bars on the fly, large pocket up front for all extra stuff, lights/filter's/sprays etc ... For the price, weight, size, adjustability and comfort for a less than $100 pack ... you simply can't beat it .. Jansport did this pack very well.

Got this vest the other day, i'm very pleases with the zipper, material's and quality .... its a 100 count lightweight for those spring mountain nights when your 200 long sleeve is just too much ... it weighs 4 oz ... i'll be carrying this with me on all trips from now on ... ya never know when it'll get a little nippy ... windy/cloudy 70 degree day can still put chills up your spine ... this will keep your vital organs nice an toasty ... no shivers.

This jacket is awesome, Its single layer, but remains durable .. shop around ... they'll all rip when snaged .. It has no inner fabric because its a SHELL, its ment to be layered on top of a mid weight fleece or long sleeve performance shirt during bad weather ... Pit Zips and thin lined fleece pockets with ipod/mp3 player inner chest pocket are nice features while keeping weight to almost nothing ... This Rain shell is a true winner .... Its longer than most which i like because i'm very tall ... it cover's well .. The arm's seem to run a hair too long but the velcro wrist bands tighten behind the wrist allows it to sit correctly and not move foreward over the hands ... very comfy ... If you want a solid rain shell this is it ... its ment for backpacking with layers ..
