Sorel 1964 Pac T Boot - Men's

April 3, 2009

Probably a 6.5 in these in mens since they run a little big. I see all they have is size 7, they might be ok if your closer to a 9 in womens and are planning on thick socks and insoles.

The North Face Four Shadows GTX Winter Boot - Men's

April 3, 2009

The main differance is the design of the boots, they are both waterproof and have the same 400 grams of insulation. Either will work for crampons and winter mountain hiking. I have the four shadows and love them. They are very warm and comfortable.

Nice Jacket

The North Face Windwall 1 Fleece Jacket - Women's

The North Face Windwall 1 Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 1, 2009

I bought this jacket for my wife and she loves it, she also has a Apex Bonic and loves it to. She said if she could only have one it would be the Apex but the windwall is almost as good. Its the waterproofing of the Apex thats better, so if your looking for a windproof but not waterproof jacket the windwall is the way to go. Also fits true to size.

Warmer than expected

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 10, 2009

I was debating between the Windwall 2 and this jacket, I own a Windwall 1 from a couple years back and it has been very good to me. But after trying them on a local sporting goods store I bought the Apex Bionic and I love it. The fleece lining is warm, I wore it snowboarding in Colorado with a baselayer and was dry and warm. I'm going to Utah in a couple days and will be climbing with it also. Its a great jacket, Best North Face jacket I've ever had.

Great Boots

The North Face Chilkats Winter Boot - Men's

The North Face Chilkats Winter Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 9, 2009

Great boots, comfortable for winter hiking and mountaineering, waterproof, and warm. Great for winter but once its gets to the upper 40s and into the 50s these are way to warm for me. But I hiked in snow and below 0 conditions and my feet were never cold and were nice and dry.

The North Face Chilkats Winter Boot - Men's

March 8, 2009

I have wide feet and these fit me fine by just going up a 1/2 size. The insulation is soft and gives some extra width.
