  • Stomping Grounds:

    Park City, Little Cottonwood
  • Bio:

I moved to Park City a little over 20 months ago and can't imagine ever leaving. I was lucky enough to get a Utah Silver Pass this year so I'm skiing all over the place, but mostly at Alta/Snowbird, PCMR, or the Canyons. I've also become an avid mountain biker and absolutely love biking the mid-mountain trail. I love 412 Bistro Bar, Fatboy's pizza (at Sidecar or Maxwell's) and El Chubasco.

Great size for a day at the resort with some side-country trips, though it'd be nicer if it had a built-in Avalung. Perfect for a light amount for bootpacking - I can even fit my Volkl Kuros into the carry loop.

Only reason I gave these 4 stars is because it's SO FRICKING HARD to go from using the toe loop to not using it. Trying to adjust the straps is not a pleasant task. OTHERWISE, I wear these things all the time (mostly with the toe loop) and I couldn't be happier. No discomfort even after hiking 11 miles in one day with multiple river crossings. They're seemingly indestructible.

I'm on my second pair because I like them so much. I took my old pair and hiked in the backcountry of the Narrows in Zion National Park and they held up great, despite being submerged 80% of the time.

I agree with the other reviewers that you should definitely buy a half size smaller than you'd normally wear (I wear an 11 but got the 10.5 and it fits perfectly).

Great pants

Super warm pants I can wear even on a cold day without a base layer. Plenty of room in the pockets. Have held up well to some warm and wet days up in Whistler as well as some cooler days in Park City and Little Cottonwood Canyon. Steezy enough to look good in the tram line at the 'bird.

I have the green in a large (I'm 6', 185lbs), and it fits well - a little roomy but that's good cuz I usually fill my pockets and wear a beacon. Great quality, has everything little extra you didn't even know you'd need but can't live without after you have it (like the sunglasses pocket/wipe and season pass holder). Keeps me super warm on even the coldest of days, and I'm still getting compliments on the color.
