  • Stomping Grounds:

Georgia Backwoods, Colorado Rockies, and Anywhere life may take me.
  • Bio:

I am originally from Georgia and I moved to Colorado in 2006 for school. Growing up I always loved the outdoors, but I think I loved it in different ways as I grew older. As a child it was an adventure of exploration, as a teenager it was to get away from a world of rules, and now it is a combination of the two along with the apreciation and curiosity of the natural world and its beauty. More so now than then, it is about experiencing and learning new hobbies. I have picked up more outdoor hobbies in the past 2.5 years here in Colorado than I could have ever imagined. I have kayaked, climbed, hiked, camped, and mountained biked on several occasions. I even picked up adventure racing this past summer. Any suggestions on what else to try?

Harmony Clearwater TTD Spray Skirt

Harmony Clearwater TTD Spray Skirt

Rating for this product: 5 December 9, 2008

Bought this skirt for a little recreational kayaking and I am happy with it. bought a Large which fit really tight on my kayak but I made it work. Good pocket for small items. Size is easily adjusted by simply untying a knot in the back and retying it smaller. Never really used the quick release handle in the front, but it is still a pretty cool feature.

Really Nice for Racing or Whatever

CamelBak Octane 14+ Hydration Pack - 3L

CamelBak Octane 14+ Hydration Pack - 3L

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

I bought this pack awhile back before running my first adventure race. It held just enough gear for me and the chest and waist strap helped keep the bag from moving around a great deal while running, biking, and kayaking. The 100 oz bladder was a life saver. I use it to go to the gym and carry all my clothes. The inside has a divider where I put my sweaty clothes after working out ot keep them from dirtying up my clean ones. Overall a great pack.

Great Shoe

Evolv Defy Climbing Shoe

Evolv Defy Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

I bought these on impulse and have only had a chance to use them indoor. Overall I like the fit, feel, and look of the shoes. Stiff yet comfortable. The velcro straps allow for me to undo them and rest my toes after a long stint of climbing. Great shoe and I recommend them to those just getting into climbing and those who have been climbing for a while. I give them two thumbs up.

Yes Warm but stiff and hard to hold paddle

Rip Curl Core 5mm 5-Finger Glove

Rip Curl Core 5mm 5-Finger Glove

Rating for this product: 3 December 8, 2008

I bought these for kayaking in Colorado. They are super warm and keep fingers and hands dry, but they are pretty stiff and makes it more of a workout to hold on to the paddle. But what chould I expect from 5mm of neoprene?

Girlfriend gave me this for Christmas one year. It is super small and super light. My only complaint is with the condensation in the mornings. I have only really slept in it with her and we were fine on space. I am about 6'1", 185 lbs and she is 5'6" 120 lbs. Absolutely love it.

The North Face Crestone 60 Backpack - 3350-3950cu in

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

Got this pack for Christmas awhile back and it is awesome. Spacious, easily accessible, comfortable, and organized. I have packed it as full as I possibly could and went out for a weekend with a friend who could not carry anything because of shoulder surgery and I really didnt even mind carrying the extra weight it was so comfortable.

Rip Curl F Bomb 3mm Round Toe Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2008

I use these for kayaking here in Colorado and I have to say they are awesome. Tight fit keeps water out and feet dry. Thin sole makes you feel like I am barefoot but still protects my feet from splinters and sharp rocks. Held up nice.

Good comfortable. Sturdy (thank goodness), and pretty comfortable. It fit bigger than I thought it would, but I guess that means I have some growing room. haha.

Harmony Clearwater TTD Spray Skirt

December 4, 2008

It should work, just buy a medium. The skirt tightens up a good bit if it is still too big
