Current City: Helena, MT
I grew up on the North Shore of Oahu (spent lots of time in the ocean). Moved to Montana at 13 (transitioned from surfing in the ocean to snowboarding and biking in the mountains). Went to college in Wyoming (climbed - a lot). Moved back to Helena Summer '08. Living and working in MT now. Doing all of the above except for the ocean stuff.

22 Designs Hammerhead Telemark Binding
January 29, 2010
I'm about to mount a pair of HH's and I've got a question. It's my first time mounting a binding and I want to know why the 22 designs has two different options on the size of bit to use when drilling. They say it's up to the manufacturer of the ski, but I always thought the size of a drilled hole accepting a screw was determined by the size of screw that was going to be used... The two options are a 9/64" bit and 5/32" bit. Which should I use? I'm thinking the 9/64", but just thought I'd ask before 'bitting the bit' so to speak.
The rest of 22designs instructions are great, but the bit size has confused me.

Bern Baker Helmet w/Knit Liner DO NOT USE
January 18, 2009
Michael Kisow: See Sizing chart above "add to cart"Andrew Kona: I measured my head according to the sizing chart (57.5 cm was my measurment) and I decided to order a medium and a large incase the medium was too snug. when I tried them on they were both too big. bern's sizing information that comes with the helmet instructs the rider to properly place and adjust the helmet for use, place your hands on the sides (left and right) of the helmet while it's on your head, and then turn your head left and right while you hands maintain the original position. If your head turns or moves within the helmet it's too big. Bern says the helmet should fit snugly and when doing this "turn fit" test that the helmet should turn with your head.In short, the sizing chart didn't really work out for me. especially after the liner was removed, the medium was then quite loose fitting. (I would not describe the fit of the medium on my head as snug with or without the liner.) I will be sending back the medium and large and ordering a small.
