Excellent Pack!

It's perfect for a multi-day trip with lots of space. I have a 46 inch waist and it fits with room to spare. TNF suspension system works really well. There are lots of pockets and compartments to stick the small items. The trampoline bottom separates the sleeping bag compartment from the main compartment and can be removed for one really large storage area. It's a really well put together pack. Doesn't come with a rain cover.

Smoke / Dart

Panaracer Fire XC Pro MTB Tire - 26x2.1in

Panaracer Fire XC Pro MTB Tire - 26x2.1in

Rating for this product: 1 September 10, 2008

Back in the day Panaracer came out with a tire combination that was way ahead of its time. The Smoke / Dart combo. You can still get it today. The dart is the front tire and it enhances steering. the smoke is bacically a paddle tire that will shred through sand, mud and dirt better than anything out there.

Not a fat mans bag

The North Face Allegheny Bx Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Rectangular Synthetic

I love this bag but due to my big chest I cant move around really well. I have the long one and its plenty big in that regard but I think this was meant for a skinny guy. Everything else is great. great fabric, feels smooth to the skin. Excellent zipper.

Great Hammock!

Byer of Maine The Barbados Single Hammock

The craftmanship is excelent. laying in it diagonally like the packaging recomends is really nice. you are laying more flat that way and not like a taco with your head and feet in the air and butt down. I'm 6 foot tall and weigh 265lbs and this one works really well for me. Going backpacking in a few weeks and this will be with me.

Mammut Performance Statik Ropes

August 27, 2008

More to the point….this rope could be used in climbing applications just not used as the rope that would absorb a fall. You need a dynamic rope for that. Use this rope to haul your gear on a climb or repel down after but not as the rope to save you in a fall. It would be really quick stop for ya. You’d be better off hitting the crash pad or sand.
