Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad

Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 July 13, 2010

Replaced some old thermarests with a pair of Downmat 7's. Never looking back again, these are awesome, we don't ever bottom on the 7's and the cost-weight-bulk-performance balance is great! A lot of cash but you get what you pay for with these. Just close your eyes and click "Add to Cart" you won't regret it, and you definitely won't loose any sleep over it!

Looked Expensive

Therm-a-Rest Stuff Sack Pillow

Therm-a-Rest Stuff Sack Pillow

Rating for this product: 5 July 13, 2010

Looked expensive to me for what it is, and I'm cheap when it comes to comfort.
Bought a few anyway to make the family more comfortable without packing bulky pillows on a river trip.
They're great! Combined with my Exped pad I'm sleeping better than ever!

DAMN!!

The North Face Paramount Convertible Pant - Men's

The North Face Paramount Convertible Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 September 30, 2008

As suggested by others, the north face seems to have changed these pants for the worse!
I have about 5 older pairs of these that are the same size as the two additional pair I just purchased and these new ones don't fit me well. I may need to go from M-reg to L-short because these just don't seem to fit as well.
I was planning to buy these pants until end of time but it's time to shop around. The north face moved these from the Phillipines to Bangladesh and they are not the same as they used to be. Lower zipper quality in the legs from what I can tell as well. I wonder what the profit margin is on a $65 pant made in the Phillipines vs. on made in Bangladesh????
